OmieAlready said he was calling it too close both ways, my critique wasn't so much for the # of straight penalties but due to calling one not even 1/2 a second after having killed one. and this is a problem because ... why? if it's a penalty, it's a penaltyby ACM - Hockey

Re: Cornell 6 Union 0 postgame (12/2/06) - 17 years ago
Beeeej It's still a fair thing to wonder: On what basis do you say "you're not right"? On most things statistical, I would trust Trotsky much farther than I would trust the Daily Sun or the Ithaca Journal. Do you have a basis for saying Trotsky isn't right other than the fact that the newspapers appear to disagree with him? As I posted here, TBRW has a discrepancy between the indivby ACM - Hockey

RatushnyFanThis was Scrivens' first start, right (though he has played before)? Has another Cornell goalie pitched a shutout in their first start? Just curious but no time to look it up. 11/19/83 Don Fawcett, 5-0 over Wilfrid Laurier 12/3/60 Laing Kennedy, 9-0 over Pennsylvaniaby ACM - Hockey
Re: dressing 3 goalies - 17 years ago
WillRonald '09Okay, I didn't know that. But that begs a bigger question, why wouldn't every team dress three goalies? Sometimes it's not deemed worth it to bring a third goalie on the road. Sometimes the team's third goalie is injured or otherwise unavailable. And sometimes there isn't a third goalie. Like last season. Or the season before, after Davenport left.by ACM - Hockey
Re: Schafer Magic Number: 1 - 17 years ago
redhair34TrotskyDeltaOne81Thought: what about that game that Schafer was suspended for @ Yale. Could that be the difference? Did we win it? It's a good theory, anyway. Yeah we won the game. So that could be it. Not likely; there's no entry for Brekke/Garrow in the media guide under Career Coaching Records, and Schafer's numbers equal the total number of games played during his coaching teby ACM - Hockey

Chuck HendersonGive My Regards1/20/73 -- Carlo Ugolini, vs Toronto (Anderson) -- score This is the one that really stands out in my memory. Ugolini did a complete 360 as he came in on the goalie. Is that even legal now? What goalie? The player who defended the penalty shot, Warren Anderson, was a defenseman, inserted by Toronto coach Tom Watt for reasons apparent only to him.
