George64 Trotsky upprdeck probably still makes more money than hockey.. by far the biggest boosters for the school care about football Net? It's expensive AF. 15 coaches, plus six listed support staff and over about 120 players, it’s bigger than many academic departments. If i were rich, i would donate billions on the condition that they discontinue the programby blackwidow - Other Sports

scoop85 blackwidow Wow, we got mauled by Penn today. 63-0 We’ve become like Princeton in the years before they dropped their program. So sad to see of was not too long ago a solid sport at Cornell. Yeah i actually took a great deal of pride in the strength of the program.. now i guess it's only wrestling.by blackwidow - Other Sports

Jeff Hopkins '82 Jenner with another assist on Canada's first goal in the semi against Switzerland. Johnston, Saulnier, and Bourbonnais all getting regular ice time, too. Johnston scores Canada's fourth goal on the Power Play. Final 4-0. Canada vs USA tomorrow night for the gold. Was hoping to see O'Neill tonight. Trotsky This is insane. Just a few weeks after making history when three of their rising sophomores were taken in the top five of the 2021 NHL Draft, the Wolverines were able to announce that No. 1 overall pick Owen Power, No. 2 overall pick Matty Beniers and No. 5 overall pick Kent Johnson would all return for their sophomore seasons The team being the Sabres, i guess it was clear Power wasby blackwidow - Hockey

Jeff Hopkins '82 Not gonna start a new thread. Just watched the third period of the Canada - Finland women's game. Brianne Jenner with the empty netter to clinch Canada's 5-3 win and also an assist on the 3rd goal. Rebecca Johnston and Jill Saulnier got ice time, but didn't score (I believe). Jamie Bourbonnais and Micah Zandee-Hart also on the roster, but I think they were healthy scratby blackwidow - Hockey

scoop85 Dake takes Bronze with a convincing 5-0 win over Chamizo of Italy. Terrific job coming back from the shocking 2nd round loss. Congrats to Kyle! Im more impressed with his mental fortitude. Hope his biohacking works and he returns to the next Olympics.by blackwidow - Other Sports

ugarte blackwidow Do you guys think he will take another shot at gold in 3 years?i think he'll take another shot but i don't know if three years from now dake will be the favorite to be our representative. glad that he's still in the running for bronze though. he beat chamizo in an exhibition last year, though it was not really representative of much and i think it may have been at a relaxed weigby blackwidow - Other Sports

profudge I agree - wish he had taken a closer look at Cornell. I got this comment on him from my brother a recently retired Taft teacher, who watched him play at Taft for 2 years.Ted I was impressed with him during games. He is a superb skater and because he keeps his head up he is a good distributor. He committed to Harvard verbally when he was 15 years old. Like most kids with D1 talent, heby blackwidow - Hockey

Trotsky Putting this here to max the views. The mod who operates the reddit site r/LynahFaithful has made two decisions, one great and one terrible. The great decision is to revive the site, particularly as a potential home for GDTs. eLF is awesome but Age is busy. Also, our median user age has been creeping up towards AARP. The terrible decision is making me a co-Mod. I'll support eLby blackwidow - Hockey

Cop at Lynah I thought I read where boosters were expressly prohibited from engaging in NIL agreements I think Spartan combat associating with Cornell wrestling has made recruitment easier? Is something akin to this in hockey a possibility?by blackwidow - Hockey
