redice blackwidow redice blackwidow billhoward It is now 11 years since the last ECAC title for Cornell. Three titles the last 25 years. Previous worst single gap, 1986-1996, 10 years. The current drought includes three trips to the title game and even Princeton has won more recently than us. billhoward blackwidowI know everyone here seems to love Schafer but do you think he is to blame for this? More teams and more parity now. Maybe (?) there are now more US players of good quality so they create better second and third lines for the have-less teams of decade ago. Quebec is supposed to be ground zero for great goalies and ours is from Manhattan Beach, California. US outnumbers Canadaby blackwidow - Hockey

RatushnyFan How about 4th liner Ross Mitton stealing the show? If it makes anyone feel better, he's a super nice kid and a really hard worker. True of many 4th liners I'm sure. My oldest son played U16 with him. Does your oldest son play D1 hockey, if you dont mind me asking?by blackwidow - Hockey

Redpucks1! New Cornell commit! Winter Wallace of the Youngstown Phantoms. Big right winger (6’3” 215) who was previously committed to Michigan State. I assume he is coming in this fall. Huge, niceby blackwidow - Hockey

ugarte Didn't get to watch the second round live but the upshot is that we have 8 in the semifinals (Arujau, LaJoie, Yianni, Ramirez, Foca, Loew, Cardenas and Fernandes) and one still alive in the consolation bracket (Richard). Only JJ Wilson is out, and even he had a WBF in the consolation bracket and contributed to the team score. After Day 1 Cornell is in first place. didnt realize how cby blackwidow - Other Sports

ugarte Princeton notes as I watch: 165: #8 Ramirez jumped out to an early 5-1 lead but, possibly showing the aftereffects of getting his bell rung against Columbia, clearly tired and fell 7-6 to an unranked opponent. 174: #12 Foca with a comfortable 10-4 win. [3-3] 184: #15 Loew with a solid win over #10 Stefanik. Loew's loss to Stefanik in 2020 were the deciding points that clinched thby blackwidow - Other Sports

ugarte Big weekend. Cornell faces Princeton (Saturday @1pm) and Penn (Sunday @1pm) on the road with the goal of taking back the Ivy League trophy we *barely* lost to Princeton in 2020 when half our team was taking a year off. We also have a dual at 5pm on Sunday. The Ivy matches will stream on ESPN; Drexel will stream on Flo. Interesting from the match notes is the first appearance by Ben Darmby blackwidow - Other Sports
