Re: Recruits beyond 2020 - 2 years ago
jeff '84 blackwidow An article like this hurts me deeply Yes, but the one right below it should make you happy: Tyler Wishart is Westchester/Putnam Player of the Year. “In just nine games this season, the forward had 22 goals and 11 assists to help lead John Jay to the Putnam/Northern Westchester championship in a season altered by the COVID-19 pandemic. It was a fitting way to go outby blackwidow - Hockey

abmarks blackwidow Hank Kempf. Nice My immediate reaction was hearing opposition crowds cheering "mein Kampf" when the guy gets sent to the penalty box. In this day and age...?by blackwidow - Hockey

dag14 I just watched the second game of Teat's PLL debut -- Cannons v. Atlas . Jeff's first game was Friday night and he was mediocre, to put it kindly. Not all his fault -- his first game since March 2020, only one practice with this team and it was clear his teammates were not ready for his style of team play. They didn't drop his precision passes inside, they didn't seem to realize he wasby blackwidow - Other Sports

ugarte FLHockeyMom ugarte Dragon15 Talked to Betts and Haiskanen today, definitely staying and excited to get back at it. Have seen most of players on the list, except Stienburg ,Regush,Leahy and song.i've also never seen song What happened to Song? Just because you haven't seen him on campus, you presume he's not returning to the team? He's a rising senior so has one more year of Ivy eligibilby blackwidow - Hockey

Trotsky FLHockeyMom Dragon15 Talked to Betts and Haiskanen today, definitely staying and excited to get back at it. Have seen most of players on the list, except Stienburg ,Regush,Leahy and song. Regush is transferring to Miami. I still don't get this. We're playing. WTF? ugarte blackwidow ugarte ugarte Big news in the wake of OTT is that Max Dean is probably transferring to Michigan and Coach Gabe going with him.according to coach koll it has to do with a fear that the ivies are going to keep canceling sports and cornell's rule requiring student vaccinations for the fall. yikes. Is he transferring as a graduate transfer? This is a big loss.i don't think he is.by blackwidow - Other Sports

Re: Grad transfers - 3 years ago
ugarte Trotsky blackwidowI think the advantage is, he could potentially play for Vermont for 2 seasons back to back, whereas if he had stayed at Cornell, he would just play one more season and sit out for a year and play one more year of college hockey elsewhere? Did i get the NCAA rule right???I thought (and I could be wrong) that if the Ivies cock-blocked you from playing as a grad student theby blackwidow - Hockey
Re: Grad transfers - 3 years ago
Trotsky Huh. Well, that aint good. I thought the defections would end once we were playing again. What advantage has Leahy transferring to UVM when he can play with us? I wonder if he is looking at the Reincarnate Eight and thinking the conference will be a dumpster fire for a while. But if so, why didn't he split last summer and save the year of play? This is what I read from Coachby blackwidow - Hockey

Still pissed that Jacob MacDonald didnt make the roster for the Avalanche albeit coming so close. :'( Dafatone jkahn NHL Playoff Cornellians: Riley Nash and his Blue Jackets play the Leafs tonight in Game 3 at 8 Eastern. Anthony Angello is on the Penguins playoff roster but has not dressed in the 3 games played to date. Play him at defenseman. He can't be worse than Jack Johnson.by blackwidow - Hockey

abmarks Do any of you actually think he was the best player in the country last season? Seriously? Nope, not me. I see multiple people on the list that i found more impressive than Barron lolby blackwidow - Hockey
Re: Vote Barron for Hobey - 4 years ago
yup, Mr. Kawaguchi has overtaken Barron. Barron was 2.1 percent ahead when i made that post above but just in a matter of few hours, the UND was able to mobilize their entire community. Their surge has been incredible.by blackwidow - Hockey

Re: Cornell Women Hockey - 4 years ago
Thank you all for quick responses. I drove from pton for the game. Im feeling pain not just for the loss but the pain the athletes must be feeling. In a way, I don't like Cornell being ranked no 1 or undefeated going into tournaments.by blackwidow - Hockey
