anyone know of a free audio/video link for the Maine/UMD game?by RedAR - Hockey
Re: RPI 1 @ Cornell 1 11/19 Postgame - 18 years ago
I have to disagree about the terrible offense. The team generated a ton of quality chances. It was the combination of us not finishing, and the opposing goalie standing on his head. Yes, it's frustrating, but I don't think it's fair to say that our offense sucks.by RedAR - Hockey
Re: Hostility of Lynah - 18 years ago
IIRC, There was also a Sports Illustrated article maybe about 4 or 5 years back. I don't have any more details than that.by RedAR - Hockey

Re: did anyone figure out of all access includes hockey? - 18 years ago
Just to confirm, will all-access include tonight's game agains US-18, whether audio or video? When I look on their schedule, there are not icons next to any of the hockey games except the MSU games. Thanks.by RedAR - Hockey

Re: New Recruits - 19 years ago
Yeah, it's Wednesday and I see the griping about the rink size costing cornell the game continues. I never thought I'd see them whine. RichS, the above was the first comment you made on this thread. You come into this discussion throwing dirt, and then you complain that we respond critically to your assinine comment. As Delta pointed out, you subsequently agreed that the size of the ice surfaby RedAR - Hockey
Re: Attempting to retrieve the cowbell - 19 years ago
Well, there's Minnesota nice for ya. I cannot believe the childish pettiness of the upper management at Mariucci, but is surely something I'm sure that all the "nice" Minnesotans take pride in.by RedAR - Hockey

can you guys cozy up to the osu band, and buy their cowbell from them?by RedAR - Hockey
Re: Testing Altitude Alternate - 19 years ago
I called Ship of Fools last night, and the bar tender said it was too busy for him to check if the bball game was on. So, we're no closer to knowing whether those of us in NYC will be able to watch or not. Does anyone with DirecTV in the NYC area want to host?by RedAR - Hockey
Re: NO GAME AT SHIP OF FOOLS - 19 years ago
Perhaps a silly suggestion, but for those of us in NYC, is there a bar, or a fellow faithful, in the Albany area that we could make a short trip to? I believe the game is being carried live on Time Warner up there.by RedAR - Hockey

I'm in for SOF or any other gathering. I may be bringing along a friend or 2.by RedAR - Hockey
Re: Cornell Will Win In Minnesota - 19 years ago
Adam is doing his best to give an ECAC spin on things. But the other two guys don't seem to want to have anything to do with the ECAC. They are talking about goalies, and how important goalies are in the post season. News flash... Cornell has a goalie who's gotten 7 shutouts in the past 12 games.by RedAR - Hockey
Re: WEBCAST SUCKS! 56K!! - 19 years ago
You don't necessarily have to chanel your audio through the TV. If you have a set of speakers, then you can connect to the speaker (the mini plug). The audio and video will be synced. That is how I usually do it.by RedAR - Hockey
Re: WEBCAST SUCKS! 56K!! - 19 years ago
Here is an email I just sent to xmievents. I, and at least a handful of Cornell hockey fans, did not receive the quality video feed of the ECAC Quarterfinal game on Friday, March 11. The feed for the entire first period was useless at a 56k stream rate. I have a T1 connection, and had the latest version of Windows Media Player connection preference set at the T1 setting. I am a season pass sby RedAR - Hockey
Re: RPI primer (brackets for dummies): Why #2/#3 Cornell may seed lower - 19 years ago
but doesn't strength of schedule take care of weighting wins against stronger teams more than weaker teams? also, does this mean that a win against slut or brown is pretty much equivalent to a win against DU or CC?by RedAR - Hockey
Re: RPI primer (brackets for dummies): Why #2/#3 Cornell may seed lower - 19 years ago
ok, let me chime in. why is there a need for TUC at all? wouldn't it make more sense if wins, ties, and losses against all teams should count? wouldn't including all teams somewhat stablize the pwr (ie. brown or slut can't drop out of being a TUC).? my guess is that it is much more computationally intensive to include all the teams, but then again, any modern desktop computer should be ableby RedAR - Hockey
Re: 2/5 cornell v 'gate postgame - 19 years ago
Colgate is now 10th pairwise after tying us. IF they can stay around there, then this tie tonight may have been the happy compromise between what we want for Cornell and what we want for the ECAC. Another happy tidbit... North Dakota is 14th, so they'd be out if the season were to end today. Yay!by RedAR - Hockey
Re: 2/5 cornell v 'gate postgame - 19 years ago
really seems to me as if out OT-SHG against union was that little extra that this team needed. these games against colgate this weekend were exactly the kind of games where, prior to union, we ended up on the losing end of a 0-1 or 1-2 game.by RedAR - Hockey

Cornell vs. Clarkson in DC - 19 years ago
I have been in contact with Lauren Hall who is a part of the Cornell Club of Washington, and she is looking for a volunteer to organize a gathering for the viewing of Cornell vs. Clarkson game on 1/28 in the DC area. Would anyone here be interested? If so, please email her at ccwprogramming@yahoo.by RedAR - Hockey
Re: Harvard vs NM, NM wins Shootout 3-2 - 19 years ago
Interesting that Donato seemed to have taken an out of conference game fairly lightly. Yes, it's a consolation game, but isn't it still possible that Harvard will sit on the bubble come the NCAAs? I understand, giving your safety sieve some game experience is important, but still... To me, it also indicates that Donato, and therefore the Harvard team, showed very little respect for Merrimack,by RedAR - Hockey
