Re: One and Done Donato - 18 years ago
Al, be careful, Jordan 04 might question why anyone would be thinking about bothman after a big Big Red win.by RedAR - Hockey
Re: POST GAME CORNELL 3-2 COLORADO COLLEGE - 18 years ago
Thanks Drew. Unfortunately, RichS probably had a coronary tonight as Cornell chipped away at the 2 goal deficit. To you Richs, FUCK YOU!by RedAR - Hockey

We're on in NYC for Ship of Fools for Sunday. Arrive early, cheer loudly! Let's Go Red!by RedAR - Hockey
Re: Internet audio - 18 years ago
Well, the AD chose the paid service so that the fans and alum could be guaranteed quality broadcasts from a dependent provider. Those days when the video was free and reliable were terrible. I'm SO glad we now have to pay for All Access.by RedAR - Hockey
Re: Watching Regionals in NYC - 18 years ago
Well, even without having to put down a credit card, I still do not want to promise more than we'll have. I don't want to jeopardize our symbiotic relationship with Ship of Fools. If you post a head count, even for just your party, then maybe I could get a better sense.by RedAR - Hockey
Re: Watching Regionals in NYC - 18 years ago
Beeeej, how many people are confirmed? Not sure if I can make any changes now, but if we know for sure that we have over 50, then I can try giving them a call tonight to see if we can reserve both the back room and the back back room.by RedAR - Hockey
Re: Watching Regionals in NYC - 18 years ago
No problem. John kept on mentioning how they love us there. He even through in a free beer for me while he confirmed that they had the channel and that they could reserve the room for us. We're in the back back room, which he said should easily seat about 55 to 60 people. So come all, come early!by RedAR - Hockey

No prob. Just don't want people to have misinformation.by RedAR - Hockey

Hillel, There's an error in your post for the NYC viewing. It's $25 per person per table, not $25 per table.by RedAR - Hockey
Re: Watching Regionals in NYC - 18 years ago
OK, just got back from Ship of Fools, and I spoke with John. He went to check that they got chanNel 641, and we are set for 50 people in the back back room. I didn't have to put down my credit card cause they know that Cornell fans are great, but, they will more or less be enforcing a $25 per head per table, so you need to be with people who will be eating/drinking. I think that's all for nby RedAR - Hockey
Re: Watching Regionals in NYC - 18 years ago
Oh, right, I'll check the channel after I check out their Chanel.by RedAR - Hockey
Re: Positives From the Albany Weekend - 18 years ago
As for Cornell fans being quieted in the articles, that's just cliches being used by the writers who were not at the game. AFTER the Saturday game (just prior to the awarding of the Whitelaw), I yelled out a "LET'S GO RED!" despite the fact that I didn't think it would catch on after we had just lost. Well, it caught on, and the crowd was loud for about 20-30 seconds. If that'sby RedAR - Hockey
Re: Watching Regionals in NYC - 18 years ago
I'm going to stop by tonight to make sure that they have the chanel. Once that is confirmed, then we'll work out the details.by RedAR - Hockey
Re: Watching Regionals in NYC - 18 years ago
Thanks Beeeej for willing to spread the risk; I'll take you up on your offer. I'll stop by the Ship of Fools tonight, confirm that they receive 641, and then reserve for 70 people in the back room. Sounds good? Once everything is confirmed, then I'll contact Hillel to list it as an official meeting place.by RedAR - Hockey
Re: Watching Regionals in NYC - 18 years ago
Thanks Heaf. In order to organize this, I have to put my credit card down, ensuring that each person will spend at least $25. I'm not about guarantee that 200 hundred people will show and put $5000 down, and be stuck with a $2000 bill. If we want to ensure that they reserve enough room for us, then I need to get a reasonable estimate. If Heaf says that about 70 people showed, then I'm going toby RedAR - Hockey
Re: Interesting thoughts from Adam Wodon (USCHO Chat) - 18 years ago
Agreed. I see fans screaming "SHOOT" when there is no shooting lane. A blocked shot from the point can easily turn into an odd man rush. This weekend, we created ample great scoring opportunities against both Colgate and Harvard. It's just that we weren't able to capitalize (read finish) on the opportunities. Just my opinion, but I think the Harvard players had a bit more composure iby RedAR - Hockey
Re: Watching Regionals in NYC - 18 years ago
I can take this on, but from those who have previously made the reservation, about how many people did you guarantee? I recall they wanted a per head guarantee, so I don't want to overstate the number, but at the same time, I can't imagine that any fewer than 50 people will show up for a regional. Can someone provide any insights?by RedAR - Hockey

We're in Green Bay. Oh well...by RedAR - Hockey
Re: Stupid PWR tricks - 18 years ago
According to Moy, who is in Albany, the reason that USCHO placed Cornell in Worcester is as follows (if I understood him correctly): There is a 3-way tie between Miami, Cornell, and UND. Cornell beats Miami, Miami beats UND, and UND beats Cornell. But, because UND has to stay in Grand Forks, UND was taken out of the mix, so Cornell beats Miami. Therefore, Cornell stays in the east. jtw, can yby RedAR - Hockey
Re: Cornell - Colgate Post Game Thread - 18 years ago
This is probably mentioned in the PWR threads, but I believe that if Michigan State, Colgate, Bentley, and Boston College win (as well as Cornell), then we end up #4 overall.by RedAR - Hockey

As for a continuous droning cheer, how about "SeasonS over!"by RedAR - Hockey
Re: What $#%@&@ video???? - 18 years ago
It happened all season long, it happens all the time, all-access is a joke.by RedAR - Hockey
Re: Thread for people who need rides to/from Albany (to/from Ithaca/NYC/Boston/wherever) - 18 years ago
Yeah, if anyone has room for a ride from Albany to NYC on Sunday, please PM me. Thanks.by RedAR - Hockey
Re: Albany roll call!! - 18 years ago
Jordan, You may want to check out taking Amtrak to Albany. It's $53 each way from Penn Station, and it only takes about 2:30. Also, the station is under 2 miles from Pepsi arena, so it shouldn't be a big problem catching a cab (someone familiar with the Albany area, please confirm) Just an alternative option.by RedAR - Hockey
Re: Leggio was a big baby - 18 years ago
My favorite moment of the weekend was when Leggio freaked out and nearly killed himself after Moulson scored. In Leggio's defense (and this is not simply to a pacify idiot RichS), during the handshakes, Leggio went out of his way to congratulate McKee. That was pretty classy.by RedAR - Hockey
Re: ship of fools for the harvard game?? - 18 years ago
I'll be there for sure. +1 maybe. Thanks.by RedAR - Hockey
Re: Cornell-Colgate at Riviera in NYC - 18 years ago
