Re: Cornell vs. Clarkson in DC - 19 years ago
Princeton's Rink + Getting Tickets = Not a problem. I wasn't around during the Florida games, but from the thread there it seems like they had a watching party at Grand Slam Sports Bar. I haven't heard back from Lauren yet, but if I am putting something together, I'll get in touch with the poster to see how that worked out.by Josh 03 - Hockey

E-mail sent, as I'm now a DC Young Alumni. Too bad the closest ECAC and DI hockey to here (I think) is Princeton. ~Joshby Josh 03 - Hockey
Re: Everblades in NYC and/or DC - 19 years ago
I was at Ship of Fools last year for a game with tons of people there. It was a CU vs. Harvard (sucks) game in January. Was the attendance for Everblades only 8? A friend of mine who works at CSTV mentioned the idea of having a camera there and some giveaways (she was at the CU Hav game with me last year, but I think she was envisioning a crew more of that size than the 8 for Everblades. Killer Wrote: At least if that had come earlier and we could have swapped one of Games 4-6 into that spot, there would have been some drama. Can you imagine going 14 innings to decide it, on top of going 11 last year? I was plenty happy to coast through Game 7 in a cautiously optimistic zone, without the drama. the 2003 ECAC Championship and the BC game gave enough sports drama to lastby Josh 03 - Hockey
Re: From Game 3* to NYC - 20 years ago
Guess I'll try one more time and bump this message up. I'm looking for a ride back from Ithaca to NYC after Sunday's game (or on Sunday morning). My friends have to leave on Sunday afternoon, but I don't, and I could hardly bear missing the decisive game (even though if we win, I'll see them on Friday and if we lose I'll wish I was home). Asked around at tonight's game and couldn't find anyoneby Josh 03 - Hockey
From Game 3* to NYC - 20 years ago
I'm coming up for the weekend, but my friends are returning to NYC on Sunday afternoon, whatever the status of the series is. Hopefully it will be over by then, and in our favor, but if there is a Game 3 on Sunday, I couldn't imagine driving away from Ithaca. Are there any NYCers on here that might be driving back either Sunday night or Monday morning (after an if necessary game 3)? ~Joshby Josh 03 - Hockey
Re: Cornell @ Harvard in NYC - 20 years ago
I'll be there, probably with a few Cornell and non-Cornell alums. Ship of Fools it is. Nice to have an 8pm start time too! It makes it a little easier.by Josh 03 - Hockey
Re: tickets - 20 years ago
There probably is some increase to student tickets, but not that amount. Students always used to get the same printed tickets as everyone else (face value of $12) but only paid $6 per ticket ($90 for 15 games). So if they follow that, students would pay $8.50 per ticket, definately a fair price. And there's more to an increase then gauging fans. Student demand for tickets is going to be tremeby Josh 03 - Hockey
Re: Dead (or Zombie) Cheers - 21 years ago
As is doing any of the countless 'sieve' cheers against top goalies who we are in one goal games/tied with/losing against in the third period. Though I guess that's just what is done.by Josh 03 - Hockey
Re: Cornell pictures - help! - 21 years ago
Thanks Arthur. I guess I should have stopped when I was right instead of bringing the Abbots into the mix. Wasn't even thinking about what game I was looking at when I was saying it could be Chris.by Josh 03 - Hockey
Re: Cornell pictures - help! - 21 years ago
The 2nd digit on his right sleeve could be a nine, but it couldn't be a 7, therefore Mark. But looking at it again, I think it could also be Chris Abbot (not Cam by similar number shaping elimination method). Or maybe it's someone else. I also realized that there are pages and pages of these pictures. That's a lot of time wasting potential!by Josh 03 - Hockey

FF: Pic #1 is Shane Hynes with Murray. #6 is Pegoraro I'm pretty sure. Melissa is right about Hornby and Paolini. The BC one is Jeremy Downs. You can make out a 2 and another number that could be a 3, and he is the only CU player that served a penalty that game with numbers that could match. The UNH one should be Murray. I believed he served with the A last year. Quin: #1 Palahicky. #7 Mby Josh 03 - Hockey

Re: Frozen Four - 21 years ago
Some preliminary word is that there will be about 200 tickets to be sold via the Cornell ticket office, half to student season ticket holders, half to non-student season ticket holders. There will be 2 seperate lotterys. I think a good effort by the department. It would be truly unfair for anyone off the street to buy tickets. Then you could have any Joe who thought "Cornell Hockey is prby Josh 03 - Hockey
