Well, that was about as painful as it gets. Moreso than the Frozen Four, and I would say moreso than the 2002 ECAC's, if only because at Lake Placid I could just go out to the bars after the game and last night I had to drive home to Boston to go to work this morning... Game Seven - 20 years ago
I don't know if I'll make it out alive, but I'll be at Game Seven tonight in the Bronx. Putting aside all bias, this is probably the biggest baseball game that's ever taken place in my lifetime, and even if the Sox lose, it'll be worth being there (provided I make it back).by gtsully - Hockey

Since I can't allow a post like that to sit there alone, and since I don't make predictions out of fear of jinxing my team (I think I could jinx my team, but I don't believe in... that thing with the fat pitcher that was sold - go figure), I'm just gonna have to throw out a lame: GO SOX!!! Lots of baseball issues - hopefully I don't miss one: Williamson - he'd been bothered by personal issues. His wife gave birth to their baby pre-maturely right about the same time he was traded, and they recently both overcame all of their complications, which is about the time he started pitching better. He's their best option right now, although historically he's had problems with walks. Kimby gtsully - Hockey

Re: CSTV Friday Night Hockey: First televised game - 20 years ago
The only other place I can think of is Good Times in Somerville. I've never actually been there, but I've heard good things. It's a Jillian's-type place with tons of TV's, and a friend of mine told me that if there was ever a televised Cornell game I wanted to see, chances are I could find it there. I was thinking the same thing. I have some friends from Brown and Colgate who might want to see those teams play - maybe I'll head down and see if I could get tickets to those games instead of RPI and Princeton. I'll post results, too.by gtsully - Hockey

I agree with Jim on this whole mess - I can't see how self-policing the line would be that difficult. Thankfully, the only time I had to wait in line when I was on The Hill was for Harvard playoff tickets my senior year, but that seemed to work out fine.
