I just can't wait until he has to bat against the Mets... or anyone, for that matter. So if anyone's scoring at home, he's now turned his back on the Red Sox, the Blue Jays, and the Yankees in his career. I couldn't hate him any more if he'd played his undergrad ball at Harvard. Re: Harvard fans? - 20 years ago
Actually, I have a few friends who were in standing room who filled empty seats... and were eventually thrown out for swearing, even though they really never swore. Basically, the Harvard parents behind them were apalled that there were Cornell fans in their section actually cheering, so they called the ushers several times. Three strikes and you're out, I guess, but it was total bullshit. Godby gtsully - Hockey

Just make sure to wait until AFTER the Harvard game - we all know what happened when there was a mass washing/dry cleaning before the Frozen Four. You know, if you're the superstitious type. Post Edited (01-07-04 14:37)by gtsully - Hockey

Yeah, they won the UMass game - I was really hoping they would lose just so I could bring a "Harvard pick-four = 0-2" sign, or something along those lines. Oh well...by gtsully - Hockey
Re: Cornell at Harvard SRO Tickets On Sale This Morning at 10 AM - 20 years ago
I got through after a few tries and got four. No sweat. I was waiting for the guy to look me up and tell me that I couldn't buy any because I already bought the 4-pack so I could get belligerent, but no such luck. Oh well...by gtsully - Hockey
Re: Lynah East Roll Call - 20 years ago
I'll be there with six others (three pairs of tickets all over the place), and I might be getting more standing room tickets today. We'll see about that, though. Will I see everyone at John Harvard's beforehand?by gtsully - Hockey
Re: Anybody tape the games? - 20 years ago
I'll have to record a replay of the finals off of TiVo after the new year (being a Red Sox fan, I didn't want to pre-set TiVo to record the finals in fear of jinxing the Big Red in the Notre Dame game, and then with holiday stuff, I just forgot altogether ), but once I get them both, I can make copies and send them out. And hey, if it puts an end to the foolish Macho Man and Gary Glitter dances (where the hell did THAT abomination come from, by the way ???), I say put more alumni in the student sections... Re: Hahvahd - 20 years ago
At the Princeton game on Friday, they made several promotional announcements about the next three home games, noting that tickets were still available for games against Yale (Saturday night) and B.U. (tonight). I found it kinda disappointing that two of the schools biggest supposed hockey rivals couldn't sell out days before the game. I probably would have bought BU tickets if The Red were playby gtsully - Hockey
Re: Hahvahd - 20 years ago
I bought the 4-pack, but I also know a few Harvard-affiliated people who were trying to get tickets for friends of mine. One person I know was able to get three, but I haven't heard back from anyone else. I'm not holding my breath at this point, since it's now sold out, but this is why I sucked it up and bought the 4-pack in the first place. As close to the visitor's bench as possible - between sections 15-19 and you'll be surrounded by The Faithful. Harvard students are usually in 10-13. Harvard band is in 10, and Cornell in 16, if I remember correctly. Although Harvard didn't send their band to the Princeton game this weekend, so maybe they won't be there this year. Harvard/Princeton tonight - 20 years ago
I know we went over this on another thread, but I'm too lazy to look for it now. Anyway, who's going to Lynah East tonight for the Harvard/Princeton game? I'll be there in section 18 row E, although another friend of mine is getting walk-up tickets, so if his section is less crowded, I may go sit with him. Re: Big old Anti-Harvard section - 20 years ago
Me and a friend of mine had been debating getting Harvard season tickets for basically all of the reasons listed above, but we decided against it. I did get the 4-pack (of course, days later, I realized how many Harvard contacts I actually had to get tickets after the Princeton game), but it's not all that bad.
