Flipped over to Clarkson game. Clarkson just tied Minnesota with an EAG. Crowd it Potsdam seems much larger than Hamilton.by Chris '03 - Hockey

Iceberg Chris '03 And all on Friday, which seems less than ideal for attendance. Harvard ticket office sent out an email begging people to buy tickets for just ten bucks. The games at Appleton and Lynah East are on Friday. The other two games are the next day They were all listed as Friday (on chn at least) as of the other day. But glad to see they aren't all Friday.by Chris '03 - Hockey

Will DL Ah. Geez, I must have been AWOL when that was available. Or was it that far back? Age's livestream of games goes back 20 years or more. Death of hockeycam:by Chris '03 - Hockey

billhoward Chris '03 Nothing did more to make Moore look good than two decades of Andy Noel. Unfounded and uncalled for. Presumes that Cornell sports suffered more under the previous AD than in years previous. Basketball got to the Sweet Sixteen under Noel, lacrosse has been to multiple final fours, women's ane men's hockey are thriving, wrestling is perennial top ten, soccer is doing well. billhoward upprdeck I don't see anyway they play a game like yesterday inside. There were games all over this weekend played in much worse weather and far worse rain. 200 people in attendance. Temps in the 40s. Raining. Some Cornell players have experience in box lacrosse where it doesn't rain? If there's an indoor field available, why would you not play it there? ... because we might or might nby Chris '03 - Other Sports

chimpfood Iceberg chimpfood If one of the 5,6 or 7 seeds are upset we would play harvard which would be both exciting and scary as they are playing pretty well right now and got the better of us earlier this year. If there's any team I could see being upset in one game, it would be Harvard. IMO Brown would be the best match-up of all. They haven't looked good against Cornell in either game thisby Chris '03 - Hockey

upprdeck I don't see anyway they play a game like yesterday inside. There were games all over this weekend played in much worse weather and far worse rain. Seriously. All this indoor facilities stuff is starting to sound like Syracuse people and their Dome affection. Typical Ithaca weather is home field advantage. I hope they don't play every game that isn't in billhoward approved weather condby Chris '03 - Other Sports

dbilmes Local Motion So far I have been very impressed by Nicki Moore and she has a bright future on the East Hill. The Cornell AD position is a great job at a major university without the overwhelming pressure of a Power 5 Conference. Ithaca is a beautiful college town and nice for families, so we hope she is enjoying her job at Cornell. Go Big Red! You can tell she is doing a good job becaby Chris '03 - Other Sports

BearLover arugula BC 5 Massachusetts 4 late third. Great game. Jack Malone playing on both PP and PK and getting a lot of playing time in general. Plus I think I saw an “A” on his jersey. Frankly, it feels extra unfair that a fifth year senior from Cornell goes to play for BC. Watching this game, BC looks like the most talented team in the country. I’m sure Malone would have played his fifth yearby Chris '03 - Hockey

Chris '03 BearLover Getting no help from Minn-Duluth. They are already down 2-0 to Denver. (We played UMD twice so we care about them for SOS, plus if they sweep Denver it opens up a very outside chance that Denver goes into a tailspin and drops below us in the rankings.) Now 4-4 And Denver wins in otby Chris '03 - Hockey

BearLover Trotsky 12th in PWR! But getting no help from other teams. I think we might be back to 14th soon. Hopefully Michigan State hangs on vs Michigan so we stay there. PC winning at Maine hurt.by Chris '03 - Hockey

dbilmes It was a great game to watch in person, although surprisingly it wasn't close to being a sell-out. I was surprised to see the Cornell cheerleaders make the road trip. Do they do that for all Ivy road games? You knew Yale was going to tighten things up in the second half. With 4 seconds left I almost had hope that we were going to win. BearLover Chris '03 BearLover Can somebody please plot a graph with # of draft picks on the X axis and that team’s PWR on the Y axis, to test the correlation? Current RPI vs Picks: Awesome job, thank you! One note—I think the correlation doesn’t jump off the page as much as it would if the scale of the Y-axis were adjusted for the fact that RPI ranges from 42% to 62% (excluding Stonehill). BearLover Chris '03 BearLover Can somebody please plot a graph with # of draft picks on the X axis and that team’s PWR on the Y axis, to test the correlation? Current RPI vs Picks: Also, quick question: from where did you derive the number of picks on each team? I know BU and BC each have 14, but the graph stops at 13. The CHN rosters are missing some drafted players, if that’s where you got tby Chris '03 - Hockey

BearLover upprdeck Trotsky St. Thomas is leading the CCHA? Huh. 2 leagues who wont likely get a top 16 team so need to find a way to get into the top 14. even winning last night in Reg would have moved us to 15. Root for BU/BC/Maine to play well down the stretch and Mass/Prov/UNH to stumble a bit more. Umass has 5 games vs those top 3 UNH has 6 Prov has 5 lose all of them and tby Chris '03 - Hockey

Big Dingus lol at the haters on the student section. Feels like at this point you guys enjoy when it’s empty Mainly BearLover of course It is what it is. I think the point is that people are going to push back when you come on here and declare how full it is but the broadcast shows huge empty sections. marty scoop85 The neutral site model simply hasn’t worked. Time for a change. It worked fine when there were only 12 teams. That may have been the newness of the format or the fact that you knew you would see two of the teams advance to the Frozen Four. It also might have been that the the era of live sports attendance hadn't started to wane. I felt more excitement then too. As an alternby Chris '03 - Hockey

RichH HeafDog abmarksANd, to heafdog...as several pointed out way back when you first introduced that ditty, it's not even unique to the league. SLU? SLU chants "SLU". But we should continue to chant "Let's Go Red", right? Let's not let the perfect be the enemy of the good. Al DeFlorio Not clear to me what all this "turnaround" hype is. The team won two Ivy games this year. As for his "recruiting success," I'd say he's attracted undersized linemen who can neither block nor tackle. I'm not blown away by this selection, I regret to say. Seems more driven by convenience than anything. Not sure why a blue-chip Ivy recruit would flock to him ratheby Chris '03 - Other Sports
