Re: Attendance policies in ECAC - 2 years ago
Yep there is. All non-students enter at Bartels Hall entrance next to the ticket office. First go through vaccination/ID check, get a wrist band, then head back toward Lynah to have your ticket scanned. All fairly civilized.by Larry72 - Hockey

Re: NCAA Final Video - 3 years ago
jkahn scoop85 For anyone who was there, what was the feeling like going into the 3rd period tied? And I have to imagine going down two men up by just one had people on edge. I was much more tense during the Wisconsin semi. Wayne Thomas was stopping everything and we were down 1-0 going into the 3rd. Even after we got the two goals, those last 8-9 minutes seemed to take forever. As great asby Larry72 - Hockey
Re: NCAA Final Video - 3 years ago
redice Trotsky jkahn A fair amount of the 1970 NCAA Final can be found here: Link provided thanks to Garth Ryan, who emailed it to me after I sent him the link to the Sun article. This is terrific, thank you! AND, for those of us who were there, it's Randy Wilson Day!!!!!!! I was there in 1979 shooting right next to the WHCU broadcast box hearing Roy Ives screaming out the call! Arthuby Larry72 - Hockey
Re: Rules Changes? - 3 years ago
toddlose abmarks upprdeck everyone on knew who was watching was fed up with the game once it got beyond 2 OTs. The majority of people watching a game are the fans of the teams, bettors, fans of hockey. bettors were not happy fans of teams were happy mostly hockey fans probably didnt watch the whole thing mostly I remember some four or five OT games in the past with full 5v5 20 minute OT, aby Larry72 - Hockey

abmarks scoop85 Trotsky Beeeej KenP Beeeej Okay, now I REALLY hope the weather forecast improves. We're planning to head up this weekend, but we won't if the expected snow is likely to cause a problem getting back to Brooklyn. Forecast is trending warmer. Mostly rain. Enough forecasts show sub-freezing temps during the rain over Saturday night that we're concerned about the drive back Sunday,by Larry72 - Hockey

Trotsky billhoward Trotsky That's actually kinda cool. I didn't know they were refurbing Appleton. I hope they don't ruin it -- it's my favorite barn after Matthews. Beeeej Larry72 Same here. Firs period was fine except for having to listen to their announcers. Did you know we got the newspaper-reading thing from the hit film "Mystery, Alaska"? Nope, I didn't know that, either. Let’s see ... Mystery Alaska debuts in 1999...that 34 years after I went to my first game at Lynch as a high school student and the newspapers weee there then. Re: New Rules for 2018-19 - 5 years ago
Trotsky This also takes away some of the heartburn of working young guys into the lineup. Lots more flexibility in putting a guy on the long end of the bench who gets only a couple shifts per period. Or you could even have a soccer striker-like substitution late in the game with a guy who is fresh. I like it. You can do a lot with it and Mike is creative. It also makes benching a player wby Larry72 - Hockey
