Hmm...he needs to work on his post-game interview cliches.

C'mon, Lenny...by next month, I want you to master "we're just going to take it one game at a time..." and some version of "hard work" and "we never quit."
Anybody know if Kevin Costner is available to help Lenny with this aspect of his development? :-P
[Insert Susan Sarandon joke here.]
Oh, my!  :-)

Lenny is getting shelled by the Rangers 5-1 in the 2nd.  Seems like he's not doing that bad but the Phoenix "D" has left him out to dry.

Cactus12

Yeah, he's actually playing descently. Phoenix is terrible (and the Rangers top lines are finally clicking)

I saw most of the first two periods and it was easily the Rangers most productive offensive effort of the season.  Lenny actually held his own durign the onlsaught (he stopped Betts off a breakaway), and a couple of the goals were off of weird deflections.

Even the Great One thought Lenny played well despite the final (7-3 Rangers).

Doug Murray is playing in his first NHL game of the season this evening.  He already picked up a roughing penalty.:-)

We're gonna beat the hell out of you...
He didn't stop at roughing...
Doug lands a few, or at least one
CBS recap has the photo
Yeah some of the Sharks fans over on HF "felt sorry" for Sarich.

CBS recap has the photo
Looks like Doug was happy to get back into game action!  Looking at the box score, the hooking penalty worries me more than the other two regarding the chances of Doug's continued playing time.

Edit:  Far be it from me to disagree with Wayne Gretzky.  Lenny played about as well as a goalie can play when he gives up 7 goals.

It worked for me this morning.  Wow.  That guy had no chance against Doug - I don't think he got his arms up to protect his face, let alone return any fire.

The Sharks version http://www.sjsharks.com/news/news.asp?story_id=2727
[q]...On defense Doug Murray made his season debut as Josh Gorges was given the night off.
...
Minutes after the Sharks made it a 2-0 lead, Patrick Rissmiller looked to make the smart defensive play and chip the puck out of the Sharks zone. As soon as he cleared the puck, Lightning defenseman Cory Sarich took a run at Rissmiller, knocking the winger to the ice much to the chagrin of Murray. Sarich, who had sent Thornton to the ice in the first period with a vicious elbow, was challenged by Murray who had clearly seen enough. Murray clearly had the upper hand in the fight, landing several punches and eventually taking Sarich to the ice....
