It is always amazing to me the conditioning edge that Cornell has.  It goes back to Coach and the type of players that he recruits...hard workers, selfless players who understand their roles completely.  That being said, Bucky is a bigger, more talented version of Cornell.  Better talent playing essentially the same system.  This is a game that could very well come down to coaching and conditioning, areas where we always seem to have the edge.  I have always beleived that big games are won by depth, third and fourth lines and fifth and sixth defensemen.  Usually our guys play regular shifts and the other teams short shift or double shift their best talent.  I think we have a great chance tonight, maybe better than last year.  I just wish the game was anywhere but in Wisconsin....

I think if anything, we actually have the edge in size.

This is especially true of the second game in two days.

Uh oh! Where's RichS! He must go to the national news media immediately and tell them that there is bias going on in the local sporting press! For if seeing things from your perspective is a crime on a team's forum, it is certainly a national emergency in the local press![/quote]

Alright so here is what i see with wisconsin.

I look at things like they lost to st. lawerence and only beat the u.s 18 and under team 6-5 and actually was very fortunate to win that game considering they took their first lead with 40 seconds left. I look at that, and say hey, we have a good chance. But then I look at how they kicked the shit out of some really good teams and then think, we dont have much of a chance.

It should be a good game. Seniors last chance to make it back to the frozen four and win the national championship.

LGR!!!!! (Cornell Big red that is)

Agree on both counts.  This year, at least, we're not playing on oversized ice.

Wisconsin is gonna have us for dinner tonight. There's absolutely nothing we can do except looking forward to next year  ::help:: I'm gonna go drown my sorrows in alcohol

Reverse woofing doesn't count. If that's what you were going for.

There's no doubt that Wisconsin is the favorite today. KRACH has them at 67% odds. But if you look at that, it means we'd win 1 game in every 3 we play agains them, and there's no reason that that can't be today (and there's no reason that today can't be one of the other two either). We need to play our game, and it'll be an interesting match up to watch. LGR!

Yes.

Does anyone know if Wisconsin's top two (three?) forwards play on the same line or do they spread the wealth around more?

Yes they play on the same line Earl-Pavelski-Burrish, and account for 40% of Wisconsin's goals.
