51 saves doesn't count?  Huh?

No, don't apologize, really, there;s no need.

Your post shows how little you really understand about the game.
His post reflects that he knows the team with the most goals wins.

Scoreboard.  It's what's for dinner.

Nice chest thumping.  Learn to win with dignity.

Yeah, he can count...that doesn't show that he knows the game.

anyone see one of Clarkson's first shot in the 2nd OT?  McKee BARELY got his glove on it, and it sailed over the goal by a few inches....thought it was going to be over right there.
ahhh, ya see...Tech deserved to win.

Two can play this game guys.  :-D
Haha!  No question Clarkson made it a fight.  Anyway, on to the postgame thread.

Or emulate you, and learn to lose.  Without it.
Clarkson band plays Hava Nagila...
For the 50th time?

I love the stuff they play, but they need a longer playlist.  Someone should reture the sheet music we stole from them in the 80s.
We're getting some excellent opportunities, but Clarkson is doing a solid job keeping us from getting grade A chances.  And, Leggio continues to look strong.  Clarkson's playing the classic "rope a dope" style -- hoping to capitalize on a mistake (and we've certainly made enough of those).
Kinda like Cornell at Minnesota in the NCAAs last year?

Hey, I can't get enough Hava.  And with Cornell's demographics, it really ought to be our own staple... :-)

Ah, I see.  So you say that my disagreeing with your assesment of the game...or Bill's...is undignified?   ::screwy::

It's poor form after you win to not tip your cap to the guy that gave you a run for your money in a pitched battle.  Poor sportsmanship is another way to say it.

Yeah I know no one cares about that anymore.  That's what the arrogance of winning does to some folks.  Sad.

Whoa, whoa, WHOA!  Everybody calm down.  51 saves means we had 55 shots on goal.  So Leggio kept you in the game, but it also means Cornell had most of the chances.  One way or another, Clarkson kept the game closer than we'd expected.  As you'd expect from a rival (and we're each a solid secondary rival for the other).

Hell of a game, Rich, hope you can make it to Ithaca tomorrow, enjoy the Hot Truck if you get there.

Rich, I believe Greg and Bill actually watched the game while you listened to it.  I believe we have all tipped our hat for the game 1 effort.  On to game 2.
we just picked up the comparison with miami because clarkson was a shared opponent
Yes, because that's what's really important about tonight's result. ::rolleyes:: ::rolleyes:: ::rolleyes::

For the love of God, would everybody just SHUT THE FUCK UP about the PWR for two days?  We have an ECAC playoff series to win, in case y'all haven't noticed.

To review, what everybody here has been saying is the following:

1) Cornell played better than Clarkson and deserved to win.  Get. Over. It.
2) Clarkson played a great game and should be congratulated.  If they play like that again tomorrow, it will be one hell of a game.
3) Leggio played his ass off and kept the Knights in the game, and should be goalie of the century.

I defy you to find an opposing message board anywhere that is more fair and gracious than that.  What we are saying, in sum, is that Clarkson is a great program deserving of respect, and you're being an ass deserving of none.  You've earned your rep, with years (literally) of trolling.  There's a difference between Clarkson, which is cool, and you, which... well...

If you really want to persist, we can go another five years of laughing at you.  We'll still be here, and likely we'll still be arguing whether Cornell are good winners and Clarkson are good losers.  Lombardi had some words on that subject, too.

Funny, I don't see you congratulating the Cornell team for winning tonight's game...

It's not like he said the only thing important about tonight was a PWR victory.. don't see what's wrong with mentioning that as an aside.

Why is everyone so angry tonight?  ::uhoh::
