Bump for tonight, just in case people who would rather listen to hockey, fret over PWRs and wonder if we will have another OT thriller  ::nut:: .

Brown (CSTV) at St. Lawrence http://www.stlawu.edu/sports/radio.html.

As far as I could tell, Brown is a Pay-for-Access feed.

Does Brown have the same horrible, whiny, excuse-making announcers as 2004-05, or do they have a new duo ... ?

D'Alba got lucky once and almost lucky once. A team being outshot 2-1 or 3-1 can only be lucky for so long. OTOH, past odds-beating doesn't mean the odds go the other way on the next game as a makeup to the odds gods.

No idea, but SLU still has by far the worst, least professional, sorriest soddenist sad excuses for broadcasters in college hockey.  Real dopes.

Is the feed working for anyone else yet?
Is next year here yet?

Well, that whole area is not exactly a bastion of broadcasting excellence...I will never forget driving up there this year listening to something called "Burrito Bob" playing bad classic rock music on a random station. He was so bad he did the ultimate classic rock thing: played Loverboy's "Working for the Weekend" at 5 on a Friday night...I don't know if I will ever be the same after that experience.

see the note on the SLU page. You will have to use "custom" streaming settings to get the http, port 80 option. Http is in a pull down menum and once you select that, you'll get the port 80 option. I hope this helps.

"If you are having problems with the brodcast, try the following:

Make sure that under the settings for Streaming Transport "Use HTTP, port ID 80 is selected". This can be found by "right-clicking" on the QuickTime Bar of the WEB Page or under "Edit" - "Preferences" - "QuickTime Preferences" on the player. Close & restart the player.

To open the link within the Quicktime Player - Click On "File" - "Open URL in New Player" Put In - http://web.stlawu.edu/sports/sports.mov "

Feed is working fine for me.  Follow the instructions above and you shouldn't have a problem.

D'Alba is stopping everything.  10:28 to go in the first period.

Forgot to mention that it's still scoreless in the first.  ::rolleyes::
