I may as well open this up to the forum at large.

I am going to hyphenate the TBRW Award names in order to honor the "great wave" of players of the first half of the 'Aughts.

They will be hyphenated once again in the 2020's.  Beyond that, I'm not making any plans.

Your comments are appreciated.  The table of former awardees and the full criteria are here: http://www.tbrw.info/tbrwAwards/tbrwAwards.html

The new names:

Moeser-Moulson (scoring)
Norton-McRae (defenseman scoring)
Hayward-LeNeveu (goaltending)
Natyshak-Paolini (career improvement)
MacFarlane (transcendent beauty) -- leaving it open, no real equivalent.
Shippel-Hornby (scrappiness and effort)
Gage (supporting role) -- again, no clear successor.
Schafer-Bâby (leadership and passion)
Belanger-Murphy (loathing) -- no disambiguation on which Murphy.
Carter-Moore (most respected)
Melrose-Nickerson (least respected)
Dadswell-Vesce (freshman)
Nieuwendyk-Murray (MVP)

Maybe you can be like the big bowl games and find sponsors that will allow you to auction off history to the highest bidder. Here are some ideas on who to approach:

Monster.com Career Improvement Award
Loreal Transcendent Beauty
NetFlix Scoring
Leggs Supporting Role
Clinton for Presdient Committee Leadership and Passion
Avis (We Try Harder) Scrapiness and Effort
Irish Spring Freshman
TD Waterhouse Most Respected
Dangerfield's Least Respected
iPod Most Valuable Player
Pak'n Save Goaltending
Levolor Blinds (loathed referee)

Cheney Award -- shooting percentage
Legal Seafood Award -- supply your own punch line
Bud Lite/Miller Lite/Coors Lite Award -- the player most fun to watch ... goes unawarded because you can't remember who it was

Bump. Now that the TBRW hyphenation is happening I feel this thread deserves another look. You can't tell by looking but I worked really hard on those names.
