Game.

Abbott's penalty killed the team.

Awful second period, and awful mental lapse by Cam.  Disappointing in such a big game.
Strange that Walsh gets kicked but they still get 5 players. Not complaining, but I didn't know that could happen.
It was a 10 minute misconduct instead of a 2 minute unsportsmanlike conduct.

Jared had a Semin Off-Night.  :-(

Colgate is losing 2-0 in the third.....

Now Dartmouth 3-0 ...... Colgate is letting us off the hook.

French Rage

If that was worth a 5 minute major, then the hit they had on us later in the 3rd was too. :-(

No, the hit later in the third wasn't boarding because he didn't hit the boards. And before you say that's random luck, boarding is a penalty for a reason - you need to give your opponent more concern at a dangeous distance from the board. The blood streaming from his forehead didn't help either.

Cam's hit was particularly dangerous and uniquely uncalled for.

Agreed, but the fighting that followed was instigated by Sucks (they might say Cam started it), and they showed no restraint after that hit.  A 2 minute penalty for roughing or unsportsmanlike should have been called (on Sucks).  Not whining, just thought that would have been right.  Oh well, shit happens.

well just watched the game on tivo after a good day of skiing. Both teams looked good. I thought Cornell had a good chance to take it and then the worst penalty I have seen in a long time happened. Probably it seems worse because of the 2 goals that it caused. That loss will hurt in many ways. Just glad to see that the hahvahd dman was ok (forgetting his name). Now lets get a sweep next weekend, especially since I will be at both games :)

Salmela (I think) probably should have received a 5 himself earlier in the game. There was no way the ref was going to give just 2 for a second wicked boarding by Cornell. Plus the dude was leaking like crazy.

any call other than a 5 minute major to cam would have been horrible.

another thing I thought of during the game....what is the benefit of having the other team called for a 10 minute major. who cares if rocky bullwinkle isnt on the ice for 10 minutes. shouldnt they be a man down in terms of numbers as well for at least 2 minutes? I do not like that rule...

It has nothing to do with the play, so no man down. Bad manners would explain it.

I meant a 2 minute for roughing or unsportsmanlike on Sucks, not us.  I have no complaints with the game misconduct + 5 min.

canuck89

He's lucky he got a 10.  Initially when he hit the ref, the ref motion towards the locker room for a game misconduct.  I guess the penalty was "talked down."
