i would suggest you just purchase tickets and worry about that later.  it seems they only have sets of 2 available now....no sets of 3-6 next to each other.  maybe they will have more when the ticket office opens in the morning...who knows.

I second your suggestion.  I called the ticket office and they said they "only have a few hundred tickets for the Cornell game for sale and they will likely sell out in under an hour."[/q]

wow, only a free hundred?  Where are they all going???  anyways, i guess i wont cancel my second set of 6 since they seem to be in such short supply.  whoever wants them, just email me and we can work it out..preferably all 6 at once.

jaybert

wow, only a few hundred?  thats crazy, would of expected much more for general admission.  probably some way to limit the number of tickets purchased by cornell fans and have much more going to harvard fans.

i guess i wont cancel my second set of 6 (unless Harvard limits 6 tickets per person)...whoever wants them, email me.  face value of course, but you may have to prove your lynah faithfulness if there is a huge demand.

so wait, no matter which tickets we purchase, we can go anywhere else in the rink? they don't have ushers?

Jacob '06

If there are other people in your seats it will be an issue, but over half the rink is cornell fans anyway.

I am also planning my first pilgrimage to Lynah East. Really glad that I get to do it before I graduate. I want some advice before I buy the tickets. I see people saying that we can easily change places, and that's good. However, I might as well buy tickets in the right spot straight off. Is there a specific section (probably sections) where Cornell fans usually sit? Where does our band sit? Which way are we attacking 1st and 3rd?

Harvard Sucks![/q]

Cornell fans usually sit everywhere.  The visitors section that is sold through the CU ticket office is usually Sections 14-16.  Add in the Cornell Club of Boston's seating, and most of that side (Sections 14-20) is usually CU dense.  The band has been put in section 15 most of the recent years.  Cornell's team attacks the net near Section 23 in the 1st and 3rd.  Harvard's band is in Section 10, and the Harvard students (both the weirdos in costumes and the football players looking for fights) are in Sections 11-12.

Bright does have ushers, but they generally want to avoid confrontations and interactions with us boorish types from the hinterlands.  Ticket checks usually aren't made, but if their bosses tell them to get us under control and make us sit down, they will, and usually in a rude manner.  You can always find a place to stand behind any section you please.

Edit: I just realized that this game takes place on the 10-year anniversary of Schafer's first coaching win vs. Harvard.

Muahaha!

Looks like going to bed early for once didn't help me out, so I was only able to purchase two tickets together.  I'm hoping if I get more friends who want to come later, I'll be able to buy extras off people (or perhaps just go for the SROs that usually go on sale the week of the game).

Adult         SEC 13     J         14         $15.00
Adult       SEC 13       J       15       $15.00
Is next year here yet?

I got 6 extra together in section 9 as long as they dont have a ticket limit (ordered a extra set of 6 on accident)

EDIT: looks like my 6 extra are spoken for...as long as harvard does not cancel it.

Am I a retard or did they take the tickets off their website?  I went here and then clicked on the yellow ticket that says "Crimson Tickets Online," but could only saw 3 Harvard football games and the Harvard/Dartmouth hockey game on the list of available tickets.

They took them down... someone got into work at 8 AM and did a 'oh... SHIT' :-)

Amazingly bad idea really ;)

jaybert

haha...oops.  guess they are only going to have like 12 tickets to sell when they open the ticket office @ 10am.  you dont think they're going to cancel orders that were already placed right?  Somehow I could see Harvard doing that since most of these tickets seem to have gone to Cornell fans.

DeltaOne81

I don't think they will... they do have their endowment to look after ;) I'd call that a remote chance. A lowish but more possible chance is knocking off any tickets that people ordered over 6. If they have the capability to do that without tons of manual labor.

Might pay to keep an extra close eye on your email and eLF for the next few days.

jaybert

yea...hopefully they would use common sense and just cancel any # over 6, and not do like ticketmaster and canceling all your orders.

that said, i looked around and did not see it mentioned anywhere there was a ticket limit of 6...only that you could only get blocks of 6.  now I'm leaning towards just keeping all 12 tickets, and selling the extra to the lynah faithful as i'm sure many were not checking the website past midnight yesterday.

Yes, I could easily see it.  After the stunt they pulled two years ago with the ticket "package," nothing would surprise me.  And they did tell the world that tickets wouldn't go on sale until 10am today.  There's already a "temporary authorization" of $30 on my credit card account, but that could easily be backed out.
