16 penalty minutes, GM in the 2nd period. Ouch. Someone was anxious for the season to begin. ::smashfreak::

Too bad he spent most of it in the box or the locker room.  ::rolleyes::

In other Cornell BCHL prospect news, Colin Greening had a huge preseason but went scoreless in the team's regular seaso opener.

Updates on other Cornell recruits (and potential recruits):

Justin Milo scored a goal in his first game, a penalty shot, when Indiana played the Green Bay Gamblers in the first round of the Buc Bowl. Eric Gryba (huge defenseman was headed to Nanaimo until Hockey Canada stuck its nose in, now plays for Green Bay, and supposedly an Ivy League recruit) had a PPG. Chad Morin had 2 assists in Sioux City's win over the Lincoln Stars.  Tony Romano's NY Bobcats get underway this weekend.

The last rumor I read was that he was deciding between BC, Vermont, and Cornell, and that the BC offer was "we'll talk about money in the future" and Vermont was for 2/4 years. Clearly just rumor, but an interesting data point.

As long as we're talking about guys I hope are recruited by Cornell, Nanaimo's new goalie, Marc Cheverie (who played last year for Notre Dame, Jared Seminoff & Sasha Pokulok's school) pitched an impressive half-game shutout with a bunch of nice saves.

How's his breaking ball?

[q]How's his breaking ball?[/q]And how'd he get more than one save in a game?
