How about, "if Cornell wins tonight, they clinch at worst a tie in points with Colgate, and since they win the tie-breaker, they clinch 2nd."

i'm pretty sure we have the tiebreaker, but if we lose out next weekend, they can still beat us. I think... thats atleast how i understood it.
