Any reason for that substitution?

Trotsky

No reason given so far, but Schafer may say after the commercial break.

Trotsky

Schafer statements from pregame interview:

+ Dominated territorially vs Princeton.
+ Coaches did a great job.
+ Great to see balance.
+ Impressive to shut out a good offensive team.
+ McKee was amazing at 'Gate, and the next two games he's done what's needed.
+ No doubt McKee is best G in ECAC, he'll get the credit eventually.

+ Yale much improved lately and must be respected.
+ We get everybody's best game every night, which makes us better.

Most of those statements were Jason Weinstein-crafted questions followed by Mike agreeing and then sometimes expanding it.  I've never really appreciated before how tough an interview Mike is.  He's *very* close to the chest.

Trotsky

Tim Taylor statements from pregame interview:

+ (Cue South Park clip of Pope.)

Kidding.  But he didn't say anything interesting.

Yeah, the free opponent's audio is basketball.  I'm gonna listen to the "Big Red" Freakout via wrpi and follow the CU game here.

Trotsky

A quiet first two minutes for Cornell.

My guess is they'll move over to the hockey game once the Yale vs. Sucks basketball game is over.

Trotsky

Scott has a nice shot and then there's a clean feed through the crease but nobody there to knock it by Modelski.  Yale putting together some decent pressure on McKee.

The yale feed is switching to hockey once the bball game is over (it's inside the last minute...pray it doesn't go to OT).

Trotsky

15:27 to go in first; Cook with a heavy shot well wide; faceoff in Yale end.

Trotsky

Schafer having an intimate conversation with Frank Murphy, tonight's referee.  No idea why.

Trotsky

Bitz wins the face; Hynes rips a shot wide, then Moulson wraps it around from behind Modelski but is stopped.  That was our first protracted chance.  Faceoff in Cornell end after the cxlear and a tie-up; about 6 mins in.

Asking him to be his valentine?

Trotsky

Knoepfli with a great steal sets up Pegs but the latter is just wide; Leclerc of Yale with a strong rush, but Carefoot comes back the other way and is taken down without a call.  McKee redirects into corner where there's a whistle and Cornell is whistled for a bench minor for inability to count.  Scott serving.  Jensen a great shot off the faceoff but McKee a big save.
