Windows Media Player is Evil. Why can't WEOS use something else?

Anyway, is anyone else getting a 9/11 special instead of the game?

Game begins at 7:30 - broadcast rolls at 7:20.  I wondered the same thing when I logged on at 6:50.

LOL. Modem connect noise, followed by Grady talking to the guy in the studio.

RPI band in the background.

I could change mine to the really real thread, but I'll yield ;).

I would love to be listening to Grady via WEOS, but their web stuff is very badly broken. I'm listening to WRPI, which is certainly better than nothing.

Whooooops. Beeeej left his eLynah info on my home desktop web browser. That last post was from me, not "Jeffrey."

My Grady signal's not bad... wonder what the difference is - does Mac not like Windows Media Player?

jeh25

I'm using the wife's Win2k box for the audio, so I don't think we can blame apple for this one... ;)

Well, Windows Media Player (which mostly works great under Mac OS X) crashes when I can get as far as getting it launched. That took some doing, because WEOS's web site is just plain broken. I exchanged several e-mails with Mike Black up there today, but I don't think he gets that not everyone uses the same version of the same browser on the same platform that he does. He finally acknowledged that their listen-live page has "issues" for Netscape users, but didn't want to acknowledge that their main page redirects to a broken URL that brings up a 404 error.

Now, if I use IE in Mac OS X, I can see most of the stuff on the web site, but WMP falls down.

Great.

Just tried listening to 90.3 FM on the radio. Classical music. Hm. How handy.

Mike Black felt his regular listeners wouldn't care for hockey...

I kept getting 404s also, but finally got through from a different link.  Once I got it, broadcast quality has been fine.

MHA-

I'm getting it fine on X... Try resinstalling WMP and make sure to click on that "Netscape users click here" thing. Or maybe try WMP under Classic.
