Facetimer

After another great weekend, let us not forgot what a wise person once posted:

Will it help if someone takes you seriously?

No, it is not time to fire Schafer.  You are overreacting to a short scoring drought.  Team defense is still strong, goaltending is impressive and the injuries have hampered the team's development.

Additionally, after the success that he has had the last two years specifically and in general since he was hired, he has earned at least one year - and almost certainly two - in the crapper before he is canned.  He isn't going to be penalized for starting a rebuilding year with success that the team couldn't maintain.

If I ask you nicely, will you back off and let the forum be?

D!

Maybe it's a curse.  It seems Pelletier and LeNeveu haven't been getting much offensive support from their 'mates, either.

I'd have to agree, D!... but it's not just offense.  Based on the games I've seen their defense is almost nonexistent.  I've had some choice words about how Springfield is leaving those two out to dry.

Steve Marciniec \'85

Only one Frozen Four appearance and 3 ECAC championships in 8 years following a few of the worst years in Cornell hockey history since the early 60's?  His head should roll!  ::nut::  Am I a facetimer too now?  I always desparately wanted to be part of the "in" crowd.:-P

Well, two of those ECAC titles were with players recruited by the previous coach and after that the program nosedived, rebounded to great heights thanks to one class (plus a couple of other players) and is now again in the doldrums. I can see where Facetimer is coming from ;-)
