Yeah, I dunno why I thought 7.

I guess 4 works better for getting home at a reasonable hour....although it means less time to make plans.  We shall see tomorrow....

Well, Boston is no New York (sorry New Englanders) but I started calling bars in the Boston area this morning at around 10:00, and by 11:30 or so, I had 2 leads, and by about noon, I had the bar that committed to showing the game, so I'd say it is possible.

Game isn't at 7 in new york!!!  its at 4. (4:30? I'd better check the schedule myself.)

EDIT:  Damn, that's a lot of people on the board at 2AM.

Actually, I just realized 4:30 presents a bit of a pickle for New York.  Yeah, they're out of it, but Giants/Panthers is at 4:00.  So I doubt anywhere will show the game with sound.  But hopefully I can get a screen.

Alrighty...here we go.

Thanks to a little birdie telling me that Ship of Fools has been a good place in the past and had the Maine/OSU game on last night, unsolicited, I gave them a call and they said it would be no problem to have the Cornell game on later today.

Therefore, myself (and at least one other that I know of now) will be headed over to Ship of Fools on 2nd Avenue between 82nd and 83rd streets for the game this afternoon.

I was also told that if there are enough folks, then getting some audio might be doable as well.

Hope to see some Red faces there!

Now the only question:  Whether 'tis nobler to drive or take public transportation in...

Ship of Fools ended up to be an excellent spot.  There were 2 TV's in the corner (where there's a booth to sit, and the TV's are pretty much specific to the booth), and they were on CSTV before I arrived.  A group was sitting at that table watching some football on the big screens, but left before the hockey game started, so we swooped in.

There were 7 Cornell supporters there, and we sort of had that corner to ourselves, put the audio up on the TV, and had a good time.

Unless by some chance I score tickets for Lynah East, I definitely suggest and look forward to heading back there on the 9th, when it should be even easier, with no football to compete with.
