College Hockey All-Star Game

They do it for football...why not for hockey?  Don't make it a mid-season thing like they do in the NHL, rather have another game at the Frozen Four where you have the best players that aren't on the final four teams.  Granted this does probably take away some of the talent from the game.  Or they could do it a week or so after the finals.  Whatever the case, it probably wouldn't be the usual hard-hitting kind of game we're used to.  But don't you think it would be kinda cool?  It would be a nice way of honoring the best players in the country besides just the Hobey Baker.  They do name All-American and All-NCAA players, don't they?

As for teams, US versus the World might work, but you could also do something like East (ECAC, HE, MAAC) vs. West (CCHA, WCHA, CHA).  I don't know if there are enough non-North American players in college hockey to do a North America versus the World.

They actually have had a "seniors" tourny, NCAA vs. CIAU, but I think it was cancelled after a couple meetings due to gargantuan disinterest.

I think East vs. West would be great -- and a great forum to showcase the best college players before the draft.  Junior Hockey has a variety of skills competitions and all star games for this purpose, and the scouts come in droves.

There has also been an ECAC vs Hockey East All-Star game, but the "ECAC" and "HE" teams also included players from appropriately divided Division III schools, who often had a substantial impact on the outcome of the game.

Note that participation in an all-star game ends an athlete's NCAA ability in any sport, which is why these events are always held at the end of the season and involve only Seniors.

Al, exactly. In fact more correctly, I believe that drovers usually referred to those who drove the animals to market. There are in fact a number of drovers inns around.
