As a proud New Yorker, and as 14 of 31 men and 12 of 24 women on our hockey teams hail from Canada, I just ordered an "I ❤️ Lake Ontario" tee shirt.

Ontario comes from the Iroquoian Ontarí'io, meaning "lake of shining waters."  French and British explorers recorded the name on maps as early as the 1600s, predating both the United States and Canada.

Waze is a traffic app that used to be popular because it was the first one to really program traffic, delays, and stuff into its route calculations. Required users to report stuff, though. And its system could get wonky.
