Colgate is headed for being swept by Stonehill.  That's... not good.

Bad night so far for the conference, but it's not over yet.

Quote from: Trotsky on October 10, 2026, 03:14:52 AMMore Tappers.  Can another Fusco be long in coming?
He's apparently not related to the earlier Tappers.
That's not possible.  I've heard of three Tappers, they're all RPI hockey players, and you're telling me this guy isn't related?

Nope.  I don't believe you.  He's even the right age to be offspring.
USCHO poster DrDemento is in contact with their parents and them and asked if they knew Jagger back when he committed in 2022. He is definitely not a close relative and they suspect not related at all.

It means nothing but I thought he was a nephew of one of the notorious Tappers.

Jake Tapper went to Dartmouth.  No word whether he played hockey.

Quote from: ursusminor on October 09, 2026, 09:18:58 PMRPI defeated OSU 3-0. IMO, the difference was in the goal.

SOG's were 36-20 in OSU's favor.

Krawchuk stole the game. RPI's D was playing good positional hockey but their offense looked like a pee-wee team compared to TOSU. They couldn't advance the puck and lost the puck battles.  But TOSU couldn't score and Krawchuk didn't make a mistake all night that I could see.

Penalties were very lopsided against RPI including a major and game disqualification.

This was a good start for them on their new ice.
I agree, but after 1st-line winger Jagger Tapper got a major and game misconduct, the lines got mixed up for the rest of the evening. He was mad for not having a penalty called against an OSU player earlier. I guess that is what happens to someone named for Mick Jagger. Actually, he is not like that usually. The 15 minutes he got credited for in this game was more than his total in two years.

I felt the Engineers looked better on Saturday in their loss to TOSU.

That would be a great move for the Arizona program.

Apparently the Avs have just granted him permission to speak with ASU (i.e. his hiring is not imminent)? Seems like every time I see something about this story, it  contradicts previous reporting.

Previous reporting also said Brad Berry and Grant Potulny had been told they were out.
