"When we came off, [Bitz] said, 'Thank God you scored that goal,'" Moulson said. "He would've killed me if I didn't."

Quote from: Trotsky on February 27, 2026, 09:26:30 PMJesus.  D 7 Q 4.
Pecknold did his usual thing where he pulls the goalie much sooner than any other coach, but it wasn't crazy since Q was going on the PP down by 1 with around 5 minutes left. Dartmouth scored an ENG quickly and then I presume their seventh goal was also an ENG but I had turned off the game by that point
To be fair to Pecknold, you should statistically pull the goalie much sooner than most coaches usually do.
Yeah

My friend with locker room access confirmed that Casey showed the team this post during first intermission

what, am I supposed to believe BL has a friend who can access the locker room during intermission and that that friend is so plugged in to eLynah that Coach Jones is showing the team our rambles? 😂

That felt a lot like an NHL team coming home after a long road trip playing an uninspired first game back home.  It looked like Brekke went to school on the Colgate tapes because Saint Lawrence was taking every opportunity to be chippy after whistles.  This time it didn't last long enough for Cornell to become undisciplined like they were that weekend.  Is delay of game even a defined outcome for a post whistle scrum? Didn't understand why that wasn't just two roughing calls?

I didn't really like that Cornell didn't get going until after they gave up the first goal.  I was hoping for less playing down to the opponent as we sit here on the eve of the postseason.  They had only a couple of first period shifts where they were able to establish a cycle.  Other than that five minute blitz in the second where pucks started to go in they were not getting anything to work through forty minutes.  Missing the net on some of their best scoring chances and Saint Lawrence forming a wall in front of Smith played into that.

Desantis sure needed a big game.  Glad he got one for going to the net.  That's been a major part of Cornell's offense this season.

Same goes for Walsh. This season he's gone missing for long stretches of games.  The points are still there but they need him to be more like last season and be a finisher more than a playmaker.  That breakaway goal hopefully is a start.

The past few weeks have definitely put a dent in my psyche outside of the blip against Quinnipiac.  They still have plenty of runway so I hope there is a switch that Casey is waiting to flip when it's go time in two weeks.

I'm hopeful that having next week off will give them much needed time to recharge batteries after all the travel.
