Due to the fact that WRPI is not broadcasting today's game because the announcers had to be with their wives for Valentine's Day, I decided to listen to an RPI recruit's game. I picked Saginaw (OHL) since the game started at the same time. Future RPI D James Guo (Go, James Guo!) plays there. Near the end of the first period Saginaw's Xander Velliaris got a double minor penalty for slew footing. He wears 17.

It's incredibly rare that we have a Cornell season without a slump, especially one with freshman playing prominent roles. Usually the slump happens after a holiday tournament. But frosh aren't automatically going to maintain their debut levels. It's a grind, and they grow into it, but if this is a slump, I'd rather have it in early Feb. than March.
