Michael fucking Fisher.

What the hell.

That sucked. Take the points and run. Try to make tomorrow less... like this.

Okay but if you gave me like 15 shots to guess "who scores the shootout winner" I deadass probably would say Courns before Fisher.

How was the goal he scored, btw? Slapshot from the blue line? 😂

Renowned shootout specialist, Michael "Oshie" Fisher.

RPI played hard and smart but also Cornell looked so bad. I would not characterize this as getting "goalied." Cornell didn't create enough good chances to get goalied. The bigger factors: Cornell was bad on faceoffs, bad on zone entries, and awful on the forecheck. That's a bad combination because it means you rarely have possession.

Castagna GOAL / Wilson GOAL

2-1 final.

I've never seen so many linesman get in the way as I did tonight  :o

Cornell looked fine overall, just a too passive when RPI gave them chances which was every 18.3 seconds.

RPI was trying to swarm the pass and letting our carrier make progress, and had we been able to adjust we might have been able to stretch them more.

Bruveris was excellent in net.  Koeppel was perfect when he need to be down the stretch.

Dropping 3 points in back-to-back games against much worse teams is no fun -- equivalent to going 1-1.  But it isn't a disaster and it is good to be reminded that we have a serviceable backup goalie.

If we beat Union I will happily take a 5-point road weekend.

It was a pretty goal, too.  Go figure.

Stopped 3/4 in the shootout after a hell of a game from RK. Very nice.
