Unless I missed it, I'm surprised no one's mentioned that among all the other bizarre officiating tonight was that Stanley appeared to get pulled down immediately before Colgate's gift-wrapped OT winner.

And the pile of players that got pushed across the blue line to gain the zone had the puck carrier in the back.

Shocked there wasn't a look to see if that was offsides.

They lost their timeout after the failed Kraft goal challenge right so they couldn't challenge for offside?

You can always challenge. After the first unsuccessful challenge, you lose your timeout. After subsequent unsuccessful challenges, you receive a minor penalty.

Also, each team gets one timeout during each overtime period.

I was wondering if you could challenge at the end of the game if you had already used your challenge.  A two minute penalty assessed when the game had ended would not really make any sense.

When the refs do a video review and the call still goes against Cornell, one should consider the possibility that the refs who've seen the play multiple times in slow motion and maybe from more than one camera, have made the right call upon their return to the ice. Even if we don't like the call.

Every time we play in Hamilton, we discover the whimsical style of John McGraw as if it was for the first time. He's always been like that, and for my money one of the best at combining hockey knowledge with dry wit.

John McGraw has to have come over from the radio world, where there is no picture to carry the silent moments. So he is a nonstop talker. Although not annoying. One moment of would-have-been-dead-air he filled with a passing reference to a local restaurant he liked.

I was wondering when our guys returned to Ithaca after Friday's game in Hamilton.  Here's the answer from Casey - "The ride home was an adventure — snow was falling all night, turning a 90‑minute trip into a three‑hour crawl back to campus."

The tubes on the ice after the game was bush league and I hope the miscreants were pummeled to a fine paste by the crowd.

Worse yet, the Colgate managers collect the toothpaste tubes and distribute them to the players.

Can confirm it was AWFUL - the ride I got home, we were lucky to be behind other cars heading the same way, and made a pit stop in Cortland to grab caffeine and snacks. I think I got back to my apartment around... 12:15? And that was leaving shortly after the game, which, with the 7:30 start and the Antics, ended around 10 (as per my photo reel). So add showering, cleaning up, equipment, if you leave at, say, 10:30, 11, no surprise it took so long. The roads weren't even plowed.

Meanwhile, Colgate players slept in their own beds and came to Ithaca the next day more rested.  Along with losing two centers, didn't help our cause.
