Quote from: Swampy on January 28, 2026, 02:55:02 PMOK. I'm sure this has been asked before. Friday, 19:00, Cornell plays Yale in New Haven. If I arrive in New Haven around 17:00, what's the best place for a pizza?
I've been told Pizza Hut is out. 😇

As per that one schlub who does the reviews, Sally's Apizza is the best pizza in New Haven.
He's wrong.
I never said he was right.
Where did I, or anyone else, say you did?😉

Ok, enough about pizza.

Am I the only one who is seriously concerned about a let down after such an emotional past weekend?  Coming off the big wins and facing two recent doormats in the league...can't help but worry a bit. NPI and standings will not allow a slip up this weekend. I think the young team will look Walsh, Major, Stanley, etc to lead by example. AC must be rock solid in net, both nights.  Casey must get them up for these battles.

Not to say I'm not worried at all, but I tend to worry more about let downs for second games on back to back nights than between weekends. With a week of practice I like to think that gives the coaches enough time to reset the team's focus, call out anyone who seems a bit high on his own farts etc.

I am worried, as everyone usually is, that the team will gag a game they should win. I am not worried that it will be because 6 days ago they swept the H/D weekend.

For what it's worth, Yale has scored more goals than us in ECAC play this season (with both teams playing the same amount of games).

The difference is the two goal games. They've been better at squeaking out the second goal than we have.

The differences in our remaining schedules is we play Colgate, Yale, and Brown, while they play Cornell, Harvard, and Dartmouth.

I love looking at the equipment.

Looks like a few of the guys are trying different sticks - Pirtle has two ghost sticks, Hiscock looks like he's testing the stick that DiGiulian and Long use, ditto Fisher trying out a new stick, Murray's knob is a crime against humanity, I see Schmidtty has learned that Castagna breaks sticks on the nightly...

I don't see Devlin's sticks though. Goes straight from Fegaras to Major. And Murray's sticks are out, maybe he's drawing in?

...

I would prefer it if the road reds had a torso pattern that was the inverse of the whites (so white body, low red band, white below that to the bottom) rather than a red body and a large white band to the bottom, which I think is made to look even weirder by the hip "cutouts" used for the hemline. I'm losing sleep over this!  :P

Fun fact, my STM 24-25 red jersey looks basically exactly like this. Almost every other away jersey I've seen at Lynah has the inverse pattern, LOL.

We are very good at hockey. Neither Yale nor Brown is, from their NPI records.

Get 'er done.

Assuming he didn't go on the trip (seeing as some scratches have their sticks out), so he's probably not gonna be in tomorrow either. Hopefully a short term thing.
