Uncharacteristic poor defense by ND allowing Traynor to run through them and face up with the keeper.

Edit: I haven't watched ND this year, but I don't recall them playing this poorly on D in previous years. They are usually feral when they are on the ball.

I think ND doesn't know what's hit them.  Their D is just flustered.

PSU now up by 2 with a little French pastry.  They are playing loose and well.

mike1960

Two consecutive possessions by ND end because of shots without backup.

PSU played some great lacrosse in the last few minutes. Very impressive. Looks like they'll go on to win.

I can't wait. Bring 'em on. We have unfinished business with those guys.

That's how I feel.  I hope our boys do, too.

I am glad Penn State won because I think Notre Dame would have been very tough. Penn State of course will be very tough, too, I just think Notre Dame is overall a better team.

Just no more two minute unreleasables on Cascadden please...

What concerns me now is that Penn State was missing their entire starting attack in the game against Cornell...and still won. Now they have all of these guys back. Am I right about this?

Traynor was out and it showed. We controlled that game and were clearly the better team. But this time will be a lot tougher. Job 1 will be to play better defense on Traynor than Notre Dame did. They let Traynor have his way and score three or four straight.

The PSU zone stopped the ND offense in the 4th because, according to Carc, ND does not have outside shooters. I believe him. No one could land a step down so they forced the ball inside and were stuffed. If PSU plays zone against us, we have three or four guys who have cannons from the outide, esp. Big Hugh.

Wasn't too impressed with the way ND played today. Important thing is penn state adjusted. And much like Richmond, they believe (know) they can beat us. Which is really half the battle. However, I don't think they are anywhere as good as us on our best day

I think ND's ceiling was the highest of the remaining team so won't shed tears for them no longer being in the way, but the way in which PSU won that game is the exact reason why I was a bit ambivalent on who I'd rather see. There will definitely be some familiarity with this matchup, as we've played them every year since 2016. We're 3-6 in that time, and of the matches that have been blowouts, all have gone in Penn State's favor.

This game is such a snoozer. I don't see either of them being competitive against Syracuse. Both teams are offensively challenged.

Georgetown has turned over the ball with poor passes way too many times. Both goalies are actually pretty decent. Maryland is the way better team but I'm not too impressed with them should we have to face them. #10 is a force to be reckoned with. He seems to be involved in every goal today

One again half of the head coaches in the Final Four are Cornell alumni, and a third is a former Cornell head coach.

Georgetown couldn't get their hands free to shoot at all. Maryland was hardly better on offense but they did shoot more freely. Maryland goalie was great when G'town got any kind of look.

I was a lot more nervous immediately after the Richmond game than I am after the other three games but of course all of the remaining teams are insanely talented.
