See you next week!

Edit: I wish ESPN would show the trophy presentation. It's been a long time coming.

Truly great win for Cornell. Took Princeton's best punch and answered with a 10 goal run!
Big Red in a great position for the NCAAs and (finger's crossed) a date for Memorial Day weekend in Boston.

So, so proud of this team, and I don't even know any of them. They represent Cornell University very well (win or lose).

Kelleher had a monster game. Knust and Cascadden were key.  Goldstein is a special player (7 points today); Cornell is lucky to have him for two more years.  All this and I haven't even mentioned Kirst and Long, who combined for 12 points.

They were all challenged by a very good Princeton who led at halftime, until Cornell came back to impose their will in the second half, especially the fourth quarter. Credit to Coach Buczek (saw him on TV after the game getting a hug from his boss, Dr. Moore--credit to her, too, for a great time to be a Cornell fan in many sports these days) and Coach Stevens and the entire staff.

From watching it on TV, the crowd appeared to be small (literally and figuratively dampened by the rain) but very loud--I hope they all went home happy. Tough wins against good teams is excellent preparation for the NCAA tournament.

29 goals allowed is a tournament is a lot for the tournament winner, but they got it done. As someone whose first fandom in Cornell sports was hockey (like many--most?--of you, this is eLynah, of course), I find it a little head spinning to think, "Well, the OFFENSES we'll face in the NCAAs won't be as tough as the ones in league play."*

A lot to like. Congratulations, Big Red, go get 'em again next week.

A 10-goal run to win the title is... impressive.

So Connor Buczek to whoever pays the most money next I guess?

There will never be another Pete Carril in the ivies (I was a student of his daughter). We have Schafer, but tbh it's not even close. U can bring up harkness, but I'm saying present day.

No, I think Buczek will stay because he loves Cornell. Also, why Cornell can't afford to pay him as much as another program? There are so many rich Cornell lacrosse alumni and lacrosse coaches don't make that much money.

There's so many rich Cornell alum in general to question why we lose any coaches/recruits/etc.
