Quote from: upprdeckYou want athletics to put effort into this?

Absolutely.

Agreed! Prospective recruits and free agents will be watching.  It would also be nice to have more people in the Crescent.  I'd also like to see new and improved Cornell infomercials at the half and during timeouts.  RC Holmes kids have probably graduated from high school by now.
.

There should be a life size cardboard cutout of RC in the field house or somewhere. He's the modern day east hill car wash jingle.

RC Holmes? The guy who severed his patellar tendon?

No bathrooms in the stadium until warm weather is a minor problem for guys, a big hassle for women. It was freezing up at Lehigh in the opener, but they had a really nice bathroom (by stadium standards) as well as the team dressing rooms. This on their sports complex which is a pretty good hike away from main campus.

IIRC we also hosted an NCAA quarterfinal in the past decade and plumb ran out of food.

I gotta say, Cornell playing on Long Island at Hofstra every year is a bit of a hassle for Ithaca fans, great for metro NY fans, and good for potential HS recruits if they're not playing that day.

This is the third year in a row that we're hosting the ILT. In each of the last 2 years we've lost our first game. I'm feeling much better about this year's team. We've beaten the other 3 teams decisively, and our defense is playing much better. The only thing that could stop us is if we run into a really hot goalie.
Way too many turnovers in Saturday, gotta clean those up.

In 2023 the tournament was in NYC

Thanks for the correction. We were the first seed, right?

Looking back, yes we were. Damn, I didn't remember our regular season record being that good

Was that the 2004 game against navy?

Not to politicize this august forum but ... some might say at least in the past, one could paint the drone body in the colors of the Palestinian flag. It'd be seen as the cries of an oppressed people, and untouchable by Cornell.

Even better, paint it with the colors of the Israeli flag.  If it crashes and burns down a house with family inside, all criticism will be seemed antisemitic and the critics arrested, interrogated, imprisoned, and deported.

Ha ha, offhand jokes are so funny!  ::banana::

Well, if Cornell wears the red & black unis, between Dartmouth and Cornell, you'll have all the colors of the Palestinian flag.

Or pretty much every other country in the Arab world except Qatar, FWIW.

Whooaah. Jeff, credit due for add something (lightly) useful to what is already thread drift. And meanwhile I see there is some unhappiness that Slope Day performer Keilani is getting feedback for being pro-Palestine or wildly pro-Palestine. It was so much easier when the campus was virtually all Get Out of vietnam. To our credit, we are no longer spitting (for real or just words) at ROTC and veterans attending Cornell.

I'm nothing, if not esoteric.
