Quote from: scoop85247 sports predicts Okereke will follow Manon's lead and transfer to Vanderbilt for his final collegiate season.

Okereke to Vandy is confirmed. He'll have 2 yeas of eligibility there. He's going to be a good player for them.

Depressing. Maybe one day some rich alum will pony up the money to put a stop to this.

He or she will also have to bribe the Ivy decision-makers to allow grad students to play sports.  Doesn't take much to depress you.

While that would be nice, Manon would surely not have graduated a year early if Cornell were at parity with the other programs he could transfer to, so graduate eligibility isn't the issue here.

According to Ivy League, Chat Cooper Noard just entered the portal.  Wonder if Coach Jacques has any one coming through the portal? And see that Penn alums want to set up a collective.

Did Manon graduated "early" or was he enrolled in classes during the COVID year?

So you've spoken with Okereke, otherwise your "surely" is bullshit.

It's obviously really bad for next year but I think more important is that the transfer portal/NIL is an existential crisis for Cornell/Ivy basketball beyond next season. It really seems like it's going to take an NIL collective plus rich donors to save it.

CAS

Cooper Noard has withdrawn his name from the transfer portal & will return to play his senior season at Cornell!

Whereas Cornell students haven't even, I believe, set up a collective farm.
