The lane was open, Mack threaded the needle to Major, Major threaded it back to Mack, Mack was rewarded with an extremely high likelihood scoring opportunity, which he buried. I don't see where luck comes in, at all. It didn't deflect off anybody, just perfect tape-to-tape passes and great finish.

For me, the most impressive thing was that the passer was on his ass a half second before the puck arrived. To get on your feet and instantly make that pass shows pure instinct. Same with the shot. You can't expect the puck will be there can you?

Didn't Mack score on a spin-o-rama at Colgate in the QF series? That's probably the prettiest goal we've scored.

Exactly. I feel the same way about most of the sports center top 20 type of saves for goalies too. It's the ones where they are just flailing and hoping for the best that look coolest, but it's mostly luck when it happens.
