Quote from: DafatoneMy favorite part was that the announcers kept gushing about MSU rolling four lines and winning late on conditioning, and then we outworked them with all four lines in the third.

And it was the fourth line that drew the penalty.

Yes, hilarious. I love it when they say shit like that, gives us the juju.

Schaefer is really a master, what a win.

ECAC Semi 2024
"When we came off, [Bitz] said, 'Thank God you scored that goal,'" Moulson said. "He would've killed me if I didn't."

Quote from: SnowballWhat amazing play from Major and Walsh
And Robertson and Mack and Shane.

Holy fucking shit what a time to play your best.

After a subpar season, Robertson's found his groove again in the postseason. His play along the boards where he got off the shot leading to Walsh's tying goal symbolized the effort we played with that entire period. Make no mistake, MSU is a terrific team, perhaps even better than the Denver team that won the NC last year. But after looking like we didn't belong on the same ice for good stretches of the 1st 2 periods, we imposed our will over the final 20 and won as Schafer-like a game as could be scripted.

I'm still in disbelief.

The hockey gods have blessed us all today. My lord, what a thing of beauty we just witnessed.

Quote from: SnowballHoward can go play a lot of Cornhole now!!!!
and he can take Augustine with him

He goes by Tre because he's James Augustine III. And he's a name... and number [zooms in on his jersey number which is somehow 1 rather than 3] to remember.
Kenneth James Augustine III. Trey. Wears... 1. Ok then. You'd expect 33, maybe, if you don't want 3 given that's a skater's number...

He's honoring his grandfather for being the first. You really gonna hate on that fine young man?

Indeed. MSU is still the faster team but they look a little more tired to me.

Looks on their faces. They haven't had to work exactly like this. They don't even know what's happening to them.

I just wanted to read this because it's one of my favorite game posts I've made.

THEY NEVER SAW US COMING

I also called Mack scoring on a group text while we were down 3-2.

Can I hate on that overly-produced dramatic video they made? His grandfather was 91 and passed away a few years ago. It's a little sad, but it's not like he overcame extreme adversity as the piece implied.

Quote from: TrotskyRight now I have: ESPN+ on Chrome cuz that's the best browser, MLBTV for the Mets on Edge cuz it won't run anywhere else, and the Goebels Network on Firefox for the Cornell audio cuz it won't run anywhere else, trapped in Nazi ads.
Nice setup. Get something open on Opera and you're hitting a grand slam.

The game was broadcast on ESPN+.

ER, bud, I love Auggy and I have since probably the World Juniors this year. But tonight? Tonight I'm gonna make fun of him.

Ian was stellar. Our D was terrific at keeping shots to the outside and minimizing their chances. Hats off to them too.

No, that was just. Stellar. I looked up when I saw that post and went "god damn, Rich is right, they look shellacked".
