In another weird twist, the crappy 3rd goal for Michigan State put them into a defensive shell for most of the third period looking to defend their 1 goal lead. Late goals didn't give them enough time to get their offensive mojo going again. Good for the Red for taking it to them in the 3rd and controlling the bulk of the play. MSU of course was also cursed by the 18-0-2 after leading after 2 period quote by the announcers.
