Hey Babe (baabey) I wanna know if you will kill someone. It pays tribute to Stephen Babe

That said, yes, there were significant stretches of the game where Cornell did outplay Clarkson.  OK, the power plays were not really part of those stretches (what else is new?) but they did a pretty good job in their own end for the most part, and generated more than a few good chances in the Clarkson end.  Langenegger had to come up with some clutch saves in what was probably one of his best games of the season, maybe his career. Again, it wasn't good enough to get the win, and that sucks.  But if they can keep playing like that, they'll beat SLU and RPI.  Play like that and they'll have a decent shot against Union.  Play like that and they'll handle whoever they face in the first round (Cornell is still mathematically alive for a bye, but it's EXTREMELY unlikely), and in the quarters, who knows?

Of course, they are also fully capable of blowing any or all of the games mentioned above, I don't dispute that.  But this loss feels a bit different than the ones to Dartmouth or the one against Union.  Call me a fanatic, but I'm thinking they're not quite dead yet.
Ding ding ding. This exactly. This wasn't a roll-over-and-give-up type game (even if the wind was completely sucked out of the sails after goal 2 for a bit). Hard fought. Good defensive effort. We lost. It sucked. We also looked a lot better than we have in MANY of our losses this year. Keep the strong play going and things should go our way.

Plus, the real song is "Hey, Baby, I want to know----  will you be my girl?"

No accent on the a.  I don't know why it keeps showing up with one.

There is a macro for that.  I think Age baked Baby into the coding of eLynah but whoever did it - it's been here for as long as I can remember.
"When we came off, [Bitz] said, 'Thank God you scored that goal,'" Moulson said. "He would've killed me if I didn't."

Schafer agrees:
Quote[We did] a lot of good things, but you don't get three points on a lot of good things. You get three points when you win.

I don't want them coming out of the locker room and going, 'Poor us. We had a good game, we did a good job, we kept them [to] 11 shots on net,'" Schafer said. "What we did was [make] two monumental mistakes that cost us both goals. That's what we did. All the other stuff is just extracurricular."

VIEWfromK

It was a lot of fun seeing so many players from the past in Lynah last night.  Can't believe it's already been five years since the 19-20 season.  I couldn't tell if last night's game was a flashback to the days of locking things down defensively or if both teams were just sloppy?  As Pierre McGuire would say, "I was right in the sight line" of the first Clarkson goal.  I was surprised that the guy who made the entry did a drop pass.  I thought he had a lane to the goal.  The shot looked like it handcuffed Shane.  I thought he should have had that one and wish that he had since I believe that was the only shot on goal that period for Clarkson.  The Big Red offense came to life that second period.  I'd love to see how hard that Suda blast was.  Probably not that sexy of a number but as hard of a shot as we've seen all year.  Can't believe that guy stopped it.  The game definitely turned into a next goal wins kind of game.  Cornell's breakaway didn't go while Clarkson's did.  I was sure hoping to build off of last week and continue to make things interesting with regards to a bye.  I really wanted two more guaranteed home games instead of just the one.  Tonight is going to be so much fun regardless of standings.  Looking forward to it.

This is the quote that sticks out for me.

Quote from: Schafer"[DeSantis] makes a great move, but we talked about [before] the game how [Langenegger] will go down to his belly, or he'll give up the upper top part of the net," Schafer said. "And we didn't get it there."

They talked about it before the game! Several guys had good opportunities to slightly elevate second chances. Pay attention!

There have been other goalies who gave up rebounds on every low shot but we're blasting it high all game long. This is why we're not scoring. Attention to detail.
