Harvard's level of talent pretty similar to Albany's.  Will be curious to see how Cornell's d-line holds up on a short week.

Harvard is always good, although they were upset by Brown but then they beat UNH.   We need to improve tackling like we did against Yale and run the football.   I know Coach Swanstrom likes to play fast, but if we lose time of possession like we did against Albany, then our defense will be "gassed" by the third quarter again.   If you look at the history of Cornell football, all our winning seasons were tied to a strong running game, which you especially need in Ithaca's climate.  Go Big Red!

Somewhat agree but the defense had trouble getting off the field given Albany's long drives that got them deep into Cornell territory.  I think Albany only punted twice the whole game.

Cornell may be outsized at different positions, but they need to keep working on getting off the blocks and wrapping up the legs on the tackles. I expect to see good success on the defense against H.

Harvard isn't as big along their OL and DL lines as years past. However, they are very athletic.

I think we'll see better play on defense against Harvard.   Backus coached defenses usually step up.   On the offensive side, I hope the team really commits to the running game like we did against Yale.  Wtih the new head coach, I think he's trying to find "that guy" who can really carry the load running the football.   The weather looks good for Friday night lights on ESPN2.   Come out to Schoellkof and cheer on the Big Red!

Cornell doesn't have an athletic "big back" that can carry the load.  They have smaller speed backs along the lines of an Eddie Tillman type.  Next year's recruiting class has a few good backs coming in.

Cornell is going to wear special black uniforms for the game tomorrow against Harvard.  Don't see changing the outcome, but it'll look cool. :-D

Maybe recruiting.  Kids eat that stuff up. Oregon uses its ties to Nike to never wear the same combo twice and has publicly stated that the "cool" uniforms help recruiting.

Doubt that Cornell is competing for the semipros going to Oregon.  National TV exposure and we don't wear the Cornell colors.  Go Big Black.  Yuck!  At least Archer wasn't that stupid.  Did Schafer ever dress us in black?

Did not say that Cornell is competing directly against Oregon for recruits.
