Quote from: ugarteBy the end of that period it's fair to say we were not getting outplayed. Great work by Castagna to stay with the puck and attack the net to take the lead. We've made some good hits and are blocking shots like crazy.

1-0 after one. Very nice.
Possession has been tilted towards St. Lawrence but Cornell has been solid defensively in its own zone. Still, that is not a formula for success. We need to win more faceoffs/battles and possess the puck more. St. Lawrence is probably going to score several goals if they continue to control the puck this much.
IMO you're watching with nervous eyes.
Well, yes, I'm nervous. But Cornell is getting badly outshot (shot attempts 24-10 for StL) and losing almost 2/3 of faceoffs. Not a recipe for success.
Those shots are mostly garbo. The exact kind of stuff we maybe want a little more of from our guys but not THAT much of.

Actually faceoffs 10-4, so even worse than that.

Castagna x2. Really working down low and taking advantage of Craws' failure to control the puck.

Any idea if Seger is playing hurt?  Not taking many face offs.

Late night Friday for the guys.

The announcers keep mentioning how weird that is yes

Does nobody know that Chechnya and Czech Republic are two different places?

Chech republic is the official name, Czechia is what people in Czechia call it, I'm not sure why it was ever widely called the Czech republic

They're trying to say "Czechia" which is the more modern name for the country previously known as the Czech Republic.

ER

I've never heard it called Czechia. It sounds too much like Chechnya

Arthur says it (correctly) at every home game when Ondrej is in the starting lineup.

Needed a near kneeing for the refs to finally take their whistles out of their asses.

I'll send them your note.

Quote from: BearLoverMuch better period.
I was going to ask if we agreed on who had the run of play in the second.

Not Craws,  Kraws!

RE: Get Smart,1965!
"When we came off, [Bitz] said, 'Thank God you scored that goal,'" Moulson said. "He would've killed me if I didn't."
