"What... is your favorite color?"  "Blue. No, yel--auuuuugh!"

I'm baffled why Cashman pulled Black with about 4:30 to go in regulation. I understand it's do-or-die but that was excessively early with a one-goal deficit

So says Pierre!

Schafer likes to tamp down the emotions, at least to start games. But the way this one shook out, the emotions ramped up organically, and we finally clicked. We can win a game playing one good period, and that makes us dangerous. I like the vibes going into tomorrow. Hope Kempf's knee feels better.

I thought it was a really smart move to attack the gassed fourth line when we didn't have a timeout. I would argue it was successful too as they kept our guys out there for an eternity, just didn't score.

Dafatone

Holy shit what a comeback.

I think. I couldn't tell. Camera couldn't follow the puck. Did we win?

I guess a 5-0 third period ain't too shabby. Let's ride this into tomorrow and get ourselves a trophy!

BMac

That was an absolutely awesome game. One of my favorites. Reminds of that Princeton SF at lake placid about ten years ago with the Barlow coast to coast.

Let's go red

When asked in the postgame interview what the message was coming out for the third, Walsh said that they "were just doing it for a lot of the guys leaving, especially the younger guys." Huh?

Kempf looked good there at the end after going down! He was putting in some good shifts after he went back to bench

I took it to mean he meant the younger players were especially trying to win this for the older players. If he had a chance to answer again, he would probably give a more coherent answer.

Yeah, that's what I figured, but...only two guys are leaving, only one of whom plays. So it was a strange enough response to make me wonder for a second...
