Here come the goals finally

Cornell up 9-1 on SOG this period.  Feels very 2003.

No.

Let's try catching them.  Same number of GP vs all ECAC teams.
yeah but considering the quality win bonus and how the pairwise omits losses that hurt RPI I think a Saint Lawrence win would be worse for our pairwise.
Oh. Maybe so.  I'd ask Adam, but he hates me now.  :`-(

Solid win.  Coulda been 9-1.

heh - the Pairwise omits WINS that hurt RPI. Not losses. That said, he's right that it takes away from Cornell's QWB if Quinnipiac loses.

Other than the hilarious number of near misses, very satisfying to watch us skate circles around them. We should have shorted out the scoreboard but probably should also be grateful that we didn't lose against the run of play because they had a number of missed opportunities as well. Loved Seger getting back on the board on a beautiful feed (from Penney?) and finish, plus the tic tac toe from Kraft to DeSantis to Psenicka was great.

Also, just finished watching BC close out a 6-1 win over UNH so hopefully that got us back to 14.

4-5-6 goal wins came last week vs. SLU and Clarkson. So let's see if we can do that at Union.

This prediction didn't hold up well!

St. Cloud's win meant more than Cornell's win or UNH's loss. Cornell's now in 15th.

real close in RPI to (12) Providence, (13) Michigan and (13) St. Cloud - though we need to flip more than one comparison to pass either of the teams tied at 13.

Quin up 8 on us.. we have a game in hand.. So we need to do our thing and get it to 5.

We win and they lose to Clarkson and suddenly they are in reality 1 win ahead of us with 5 left for them.

More importantly, Q losing to Clarkson means we are in striking distance of them in the PWR. In the ECAC, all that really matters is first round bye + not seeing Q until the final. There isn't much of a prize for first place versus second.

well maybe the lose 8 in a row and fall all the way out of the PWR.

What a nice game:
* For Cornell and RPI to be close then Cornell break it open toward the end
* To close the gap vs. Quinnipiac in the ECACs; we made up 3 points with a C win and Q loss. Still, tough for Cornell to win the ECAC RS title. Now Q 38 points, Cornell 30.
* To open the gap vs. third place Colgate, now Cornell 30, Colgate 27. At the least, in Lake Placid we we home jerseys.
* For a nice broadcast performance by the kids at RPI-TV.

ECACs going into the 2/10 Cornell-Union game, below. Union has extra incentive Saturday vs. Cornell because it's 2 points out of fourth place and a first round bye.
