Joe in Detroit?

"Fedorov's moodiness and inconsistent play haven't always endeared him to his teammates, and there may be other, less expensive alternatives for Detroit. Centre Joe Nieuwendyk - a three time Stanley Cup winner - could fit the bill, and would not likely demand a long term deal. Nieuwendyk would have built in incentive to play well for the Wings, a chance to become the first player in history to win the Stanley Cup with four different teams."

Personally I'm a big fan of Detroit, and with Hasek back I think they will have a real chance to make another cup run.

I kind of like Detroit only because I can shout "Lets Go RED" when I watch them. :-)

This would be fantastic.  Nieuwendyk with a winged wheel on the front would be my first jersey purchase in 13 years.
