This is the U18 Worlds in Wisconsin. Incoming D Grace Dwyer had a couple of assists in a 6-1 win.

Canada has four incoming Red players (and a 2023 commit) and lost its opener, 2-0 to Finland.

There are two 2023 Cornell commits on Team Canada, Piper Grober and Karel Prefontaine.
Forwards Avi Adam and Mckenna Van Gelder and defensemen Sarah MacEachern and Alyssa Regalado are four incoming freshmen on Team Canada.

Thanks, I do remember seeing Prefontaine's name somewhere earlier but forgot about her when I was skimming the box score.

CU2007

Multiple team USA and team Canada u-18 players. Seems like the recruiting on the womens side is healthy

Apparently USA goalie Annelies Bergmann is also heading to Cornell. There's a few articles that note this but some of the hockey sites don't. Not sure if this is old news and she's changed her mind?

*Gold medal game graphic shows her heading to UNH.

Dragon15

She is very interested in Cornell's Nuclear science/engineering school.

Back up for Shane?  Or is Shane her backup?

Cornell womens hockey, even prior to the U18 IIHF, i thought was already insanely stacked. Wow

Well given how dominant the US team was last night, it seems we'd rather have more of them than the Canadians this year.

I am just happy to get any Canadian or American team representatives but I agree with you.

According to a poster on the USCHO board, this is a down year for Canada perhaps in part because they decided to take more players from outside of Ontario than usual to create more geographic diversity. Also speculation that the lack of team practices for much of the pandemic is a factor. I guess the US team kept on going.

Most of us would have trouble getting through that kind of program playing intramurals. Good luck to her.

More USA-American women on the Cornell team, then we can be happy no matter whether Canada or USA takes Olympic gold.

I have no idea how Lindsay Browning managed hockey, biomedical engineering and ROTC.

8 Cornell recruits on the Canadian (6) & US (2)  U18 teams.  5 will arrive this fall & 3 in '23.  The future looks very bright.

Intramural hockey and the Daily Sun extended me to the limit. Plus the road games, pickup matches at Cass Park.
