Quote from: WederThere is a large, highly touted class set to come in next season. If this season's team can get some postseason experience things are looking very bright for the future. Right now they have the final playoff slot with games in hand over all the teams behind them.
Not that I panicked, but it's not often you see the Cornell men not in the top 20 and at worst Also Receiving Votes. No Cornell women this week in polls but the ECAC schools are 6-10: H, Q, Y, Colgate, Clarkson. Bleeping Ohio State is at No. 4. Probably built a women's hockey dorm to help recruiting. $300M sportsing budget in Columbus. For that money, Cornell could have built the North Campus Residential Initiative (the new dorms) twice over.

I wonder if the odds are higher for the Cornell women to hoist the NCAA trophy sooner than the men.

Five players from next season's incoming class were selected to the U.S. and Canadian U18 teams for the 2022 Worlds, which didn't take place:
Team USA: Grace Dwyer (D)
Team Canada: Avi Adam (F), McKenna Van Gelder (F), Alyssa Regaldo (D) and Sarah MacEachern (D). Piper Grober (D), who is a 2023 commit, also was selected.

Different spelling, and there does not appear to be any connection.

We need the angle from the left side of the net.

Wow, so much talent!!! Makes me feel better about the relative lack of talent in the pipeline for the men's team

He did. And as a matter of fact the men have some very good talent coming in the next couple of classes.

3-2 win over #7 Colgate today.  Glad someone can beat Colgate.

Cornell has 5 RS ECAC games left and an outside shot at home ice in the playoffs, though the 3 key games against Colgate, Clarkson and St. Lawrence are all on the road. Home games against RPI and Union this coming weekend, plus a game against Penn State on Tuesday. The game against Syracuse from the fall was still listed as postponed the last time I looked, but at this point I'm not sure when they'd fit it in.

You said that for all of us.

One hopes a team heavy on first-years looks a lot better in February than November last.

I had anticipated being able to fulfill this hope for the men's team too. Unfortunately, injuries and illness have caused the team to take two steps back for every step forward this year. But hope springs eternal ....

upprdeck

only good thing the last 2-3 weeks is that really we are a play away from winning instead of tying/losing these last 6-7.  half of these games it was just  a matter of not missing an open net with the key goal..  Locke somehow stuffing it behind the goalie and missing the goal. was it brown the puck was under the goalie on the line ?  the big comeback we had an open net and whiffed. I think one other as well.
