Micah Zandee-Hart getting some good ice time (and some praise from the TSN announcers) in tonight's Canada-USA game in St. Louis.  She's even skating on the power play.

Johnston, Saulnier, and Jenner are also playing, of course, but Kristin O'Neill is not playing as far as I can tell.

Morgan Barron picked up his first NHL assist, on the third goal in the Rangers' Saturday game at Anaheim.  He won the faceoff that led to goal.
"If a player won't go in the corners, he might as well take up checkers."

Riley Nash off to Arizona after a brief stop in Tampa, picked up off waivers.

Anthony Angello getting called up by the Penguins. Last second COVID replacement.

Dafatone

Well, Angello got like four minutes of ice time, which is not a great sign.

How much is one prorated day of the minimum in the Show?

FWIW, Barron got scarce minutes too when he'd been called up previously. But now, thanks partly to Covid, he's getting a regular fourth-line shift. I think I've even seen him on the PP or PK. Certainly the Ranger announcers are giving him lots of props. He's proving that he can handle the Show.

If I'm not mistaken, the entire fourth line came off the taxi squad. Having played together in Hartford has been a big advantage.

From lohud.com, which I thought was an Israeli site, realized it's Lower Hudson.

Why the NY Rangers should consider playing Morgan Barron for now — and the future
Basically: Barron is 66% on faceoffs and 56 minutes on-ice without a goal-against, he's building "confidence," and playing him now makes him more valuable in the 2022-2023 season, although it's the Devils and Islanders who should declare this season a loss.

Barron is back in the lineup tonight for the Rangers against the Panthers. Q's Chase Priskie in the lineup for Florida.

Quinnipiac fans turned out at the Garden to see Priskie and make him feel at home: They left midway through the second period for a party.

Morgan Barron in the Rangers' Groundhog Day 5-2 win over the Panthers at MSG: He was on-ice for 6:55, least of anyone who played. 1 shot on goal, 2 penalty minutes, 4 hits.
