Heckuva better weekend at Yale-Brown than last year's 1-pt debacle, including a blown 3-goal lead in Providence.

I'm even feeling a lot better about our NC chances after the lock-down defense I witnessed this weekend.

Could both the men and women be ranked #1 on Monday?
Very possible.

It would be nice from a statistical point of view, but I hope not.

The men were #1 for 3 weeks in January, and then when did we play our worst game of the year?

CBR: Another Galajda Shutout Leads #2 Men's Hockey To 7th Straight Win

Sun: No. 2 Men's Hockey Outlasts Brown, Earns 7th Straight Win

Brown: Men's Hockey Ousted by No. 2 Cornell, 3-0

Neither the Yale Daily News nor The Brown Daily Herald posted any stories online that I could find. As much as some want to find faults with the Sun, they still do a pretty damn good job.

So if both we and Clarkson win Friday, is the top seed on the line Saturday night?

Yes. Cornell would need a win or tie.

I believe so.  We of course would be #1 with a win or tie, while Clarkson would win the tiebreaker if they beat us based on more conference wins.

Yes.  If we win or tie, we're #1.  If Clarkson wins, they win the tie-breaker (I believe).

That would be a significant improvement over 99% of contemporary sportswriting.

Quote from: CU2007Really want to know what the announcer's theory as to why Cornell travels well is. Keeps hinting at it but won't elaborate.
The belief that Providence is such a garden spot versus the hellhole that is Ithaca, who wouldn't want to get out on weekends.

If you can tell me what I did or how I can fix it, I'll transfer all my eLynah donations to you.
