Quote from: Jim HylaAnother week goes by and we get shut out of ECAC awards, men and women.

I guess you can say it's a team game and that's why both of our teams are in first place, without any player awards.
What award do you think we should have received last week after losing to RPI and squeaking by Union? I'm just glad that we're still technically in position for an at-large and worry that anything other than a 6 game winning streak will mean a long offseason.

First, men and women.

Second, I meant it to look at the entire season. When you look through the season, for first place teams, I don't think our players have gotten much respect.

As said, maybe that's because both are doing well as teams, and not as individuals. If so, that's great.

And no, I didn't think the men deserved any awards for last weekend.

Well, maybe Donaldson could have gotten one for his "great acting."

Quote from: TrotskyI really feel like a little medical and puck luck and we're looking at a Frozen Four three-peat with those teams.

Vesce's injury absolutely demoralized the 2004 team. Don't remember what happened, but there was a whole lot of fighting in the game against Colgate that was his last regular-season game. Retribution?

Having to go play Minnesota on their ice in 2005 was a grave injustice. Man...

Quote from: TrotskyYou just gotta play them one game at a time

And the good Lord willing

Things will work out

I just want to help the team...

Derraugh is Ivy COTY, and O'Neill and Bourbonnais are first-team all-Ivy. Mills, Zandee-Hart and Boissonnault are second team.

Zandee-Hart and Bourbonnais also will play for Team Canada at the world championships, along with Johnston, Jenner, Saulnier and Fortino.

Men's Ivy stuff should come out soon.  I suspect we will be rather underrepresented for a champion given that Harvard has a genuinely amazing frosh class plus Fox, and Princeton has the Twin Towers.

Matt could win, though.  Maybe Yanni?  (Maybe not.)

Like any Carnelian blooded human I hate Fox but if he doesn't win Ivy, ECAC POTY, and the Hobey there's something amiss.  Also, if he wins the Hobey he'll probably leave.

Cale Makar of UMASS (Jeff Malott's junior teammate) is the best defenseman in college hockey and I think the odds-on Hobey favorite

I don't think Fox is the favorite in the ECAC either--or at least he wasn't before last Saturday. Chase Priskie has 17 goals as a D-man. That's an incredible total. But then Priskie went and kicked someone, so my guess is Fox wins it now.

Unless they give it to Kuffner as a Lifetime Achievement Award and compensation for a career at Princeton.
